chris pine broken finger story

Chris Pine is one delicious treat of a man, but that doesn't mean everything he does is manly!

In fact, he told Ellen recently that he broke his finger in a very "unmasculine" way — and while we're sorry he went through that pain, we can't help but laugh at his story!!

Apparently, it happened on the on the set during the filming ofJack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, and let's just say, we just hope it's on the dvd's outtakes!

Watch his explanation AFTER THE JUMP!!!

Snoop Dogg's Son Rips Former USC Coach After He Gets Fired!

snoop doggs son rips lane kiffin after he gets fired

In case you didn't already hear, USC fired their head football coach Lane Kiffin this weekend, and it was NOT pretty!

After another tough loss to the Arizona State Sun Devils, the deflated group of Trojans boarded their plane and headed back to El Lay. But as the team piled onto their bus at LAX, Lane was pulled aside and fired on the spot, and they didn't even let him catch a ride back home with the team!

Ouch!!!

While the firing may seem a bit cold-blooded, Snoop Dogg's son spoke out about it recently and says the move should have come much sooner!

Cordell Broadus is only a junior in high school, but he's already considered on the top recruits at wide receiver for the class of 2015, and he wasted no time giving his opinion on the firing:

NBA Fines New Jersey Nets Over Jay-Z’s Misstep

After breaking league rules and visiting a college team locker room (Kentucky Wildcats), the NBA is fining the New Jersey Nets, which Jay-Z partly owns.

The NBA forbids team personnel from visiting with prospects who have not yet signed.

Well, now Jazy-Z owes the Nets some money!

Army Arms Its Kitchens With Healthier Food

Army on a diet

The army may be starting to adopt a new motto that producing quality recruits starts at dinner.

Mess halls in basic training camps around the nation are ousting soda fountains in favor of milk and juice dispensers and whole grains are being substituted for white bread and pasta.

Not only is the army changing the diet of their new recruits, but their training exercises as well.

Army leaders unveiled the new approach Wednesday at Missouri's Fort Leonard Wood.

Outdated exercises such as bayonet drills are being eliminated in favor of core strength workouts more commonly practiced in the aerobics studio, while also focusing on training soldiers much like elite atheletes are trained.

Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling, of the Army's Training and Doctrine Command, commented on the rising levels of obesity in the country:

"This is not (just) an Army problem, this is a civilian problem that we're receiving and fixing."

A former West Point swimmer and current triatholon athelete, he goes on to say:

"We've changed from feeding soldiers to fueling the tactical athlete"

Looks like America's anti-obesity movement may be full swing with not only Michelle Obama and school districts taking the fight to the public, but now the Army joining the battle against the epidemic.

Many Americans Are Too Fat To Serve In The Military

Many Americans Are Too Fat To Serve In The Military

This is tragic on a couple of levels.

According to a Cornell University study, the number one reason potential army recruits are rejected is because they are obese, making up 23% of rejected applications. Marijuana use comes in second making up 12% of rejected applicants.

"When the military first started using these weight requirements, they were trying to weed out [those who were] malnourished," said Professor John Cawley, who noted that the weight requirement is now used to filter out overweight applicants.

This is sad. C’mon, America! We need to kick this weight problem!

Military Recruiters Must Accept Gay Applicants!

Success!

Following the limited suspension of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, recruiters have been informed that they MUST accept gay applicants starting this week!

A Pentagon spokeswoman confirmed this morning that top-level personnel have been alerted of the change and have been asked to act accordingly. However, they have also been given the go ahead to inform recruits that the moratorium could be reversed at any time, which hopefully won't happen.

If brave men and women want to serve, our military should be happy to have them, regardless of their personal lives.

We're making progress!
