Just another day in the life of Saint Jolie!
Yes, Mz. Angelina Jolie visited the Turkey and Syrian border this week to meet with Syrian refugees as part of her duties as an ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
During her visit, Angie will meet with some of the 9,600 people who have fled the violent protests occurring in Syria.
Just before she arrived, Turkish authorities held a banner that read:
"Goodness Angel of the World, Welcome."
As always, it's so wonderful to see her continue to use her fame to cause awareness around the world.

Mia Farrow will be presented with the Marian Anderson Award, which recognizes artists whose leadership benefits humanity, at a ceremony in Philadelphia on May 11th.
The actress and activist is very vocal about refugee causes, especially children in war-torn regions.
The prize is named after opera star Marian Anderson, who became the first black soloist at the Metropolitan Opera in NYC in 1955.

We love when celebs do good, and model Lily Cole is doing just that.
The gorgeous 22-year-old is taking her Christian Aid role seriously and has spent some time visiting a camp for Burmese refugees.
Of her visit at the Nai Soi camp in Mae Hong Son, Thailand, Cole reveals:
"It's a difficult idea to get my head around. It's been one of the most moving trips of my life.
The camps offer a refuge for people who have nowhere else to feel safe and secure."
Currently, there are over 145,000 Burmese refugees living in just nine camps along the border of Thailand. Some of which have been living there for decades. The camp Cole visited is occupied by about 15,000 refugees.
As for Lily’s role, she’s helping with the Christian Aid Christmas Appeal which will “provide displaced families around the world with the support they need.”
