WHOA! Things are getting innnnneresting as the Jennifer Lopez v. Mariah Carey saga continues!

It turns out J.Lo reportedly sought out American Idol to open discussions about her return to the show’s judging panel — not the other way around.

A source revealed:

“J.Lo had her manager Benny Medina approach FOX to alert them of her interest in rejoining Idol.”

Why? Well, with two young kids, Jenny from the block thinks it might be time to settle down — something “Idol allowed her to do.” The source added:

And Jay Leno used his comedic skillz to address ALL the recent rumors concerning his potential Tonight Show replacements!

During Thursday's opening monologue, Jay joshed:

"Are you all excited about March Madness? Are you all into March Madness? People are talking about who’s in, who’s out, who’s gonna be eliminated. And that’s just here at NBC. I’ve never been in the paper this much. It’s fantastic."

Nicely handled, Leno!

We've heard SO many tidbits about Jay getting FIRED from the coveted NBC late night talk show, and about how Jimmy Fallon (or possibly Howard Stern LOLz!) might swoop in to take his spot…

VERY intrigued to see what goes down!

WHAT?!

We've been SO excited hearing rumors of Jimmy Fallon being bumped up (when Jay Leno is bumped out) and Howard Stern taking his place that something like this didn't even enter our minds: Howard WANTS THE TONIGHT SHOW!

We all know that Howard was playing us for a fiddle last week when he joked about the rumors and not being able to talk about them legally… and then dropping the bomb that it would pretty much be an insult to him to take over for Jimmy because he already makes 10 times the money!

Well, you could totally chalk what he said this morning up to being more jokes, but there's a certain something there that rings a little true too! Here's what he said about taking over The Tonight Show instead:

The British X Factor might be losing one member of Girls Aloud from its team, but worry not! Another one may be signing up!

Now that Cheryl Cole seems to be relatively close to landing a judging position on the US version of the reality competition, Kimberley Walsh is reportedly set to replace Konnie Huq as the presenter of UK's companion series, The Xtra Factor, in light of rumors that Simon Cowell fired the latter for her underwhelming performance during the last season!

According to sources:

"Kimberley was worried that she wouldn’t be suitable for the role with Cole as a judge, as she may have been biased towards her acts but now Cheryl is off to America she feels it is the perfect opportunity. Cheryl has put in a good word for her and bosses were impressed after seeing her present Suck My Pop last year. It’s pretty much a done deal."

Nice! Isn't it so funny how things work out sometimes?

And we're thrilled that Chezza was nice enough to show her support! Such a good friend!

So it doesn't look like Rob Lowe will be filling in for that whirlwind of intensity Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men!

We reported that Lowe was perhaps in some secret talks to take over, but now it doesn't look like that's the case.

This is all according to Parks and Rec executive producer, Michael Schur, who was asked about it during a panel.

Lowe, like we said, is currently a recurring cast member on Parks, and it's going to stay like that according to Schur.

Schur said:

"The Internet lit a match and set itself on fire."

So there you have it, guys. Doesn't look like we have any word on who or if anyone will replace Sheen. We're back to square one, but we are willing to bet there's a list of candidates out there somewhere!

Linda Evangelista's been given the boot by Talbots and replaced with Julianne Moore for the spring.

Chief creative officer Michael Smaldone says Julianne "exemplifies everything we want as the face of the brand. She’s a very active, beautiful, soulful woman".

We couldn't agree Moore! Ha!

The new ads, which are slowly beginning to surface, were shot in a greenhouse by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

If the style of shoot looks familiar, it's probably because Mert & Marcus were the photographers behind Moore's Bulgari campaign.
