One would think others would respect the Vice President's period of mourning.

Apparently, Ted Cruz did NOT get the memo.

On Wednesday at a GOP dinner in Howell, Michigan, the Republican Candidate made a poorly-timed dig at the Democratic politician.

"Vice President Joe Biden. You know the nice thing? You don't need a punch line… I promise you it works… The next party you're at, just walk up to someone and say, 'Vice President Joe Biden' and just close your mouth. They will crack up laughing."'

Afterwards, the 44-year-old was called out by a reporter for being insensitive, but the Calgary native walked away.

The video was made public on Twitter:

Rubio says his goal is to rebrand the GOP as friendly to the lower tax brackets as they have been to the higher ones. He stated:

"I feel uniquely qualified to not just make that argument, but to outline the policies that we need to have in order to achieve it."

He also took a moment to get the mud-slinging started by throwing some shade at Hillary! He said:

G.O.P. Aide Who Told Obama Daughters To 'Show A Little Class' Resigns!

Be careful what you post on Facebook! Elizabeth Lauten learned that the hard way over the holidays.

Lauten, the communications director for Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-Tenn), came under fire when she criticized Sasha and Malia Obama's demeanor at President Obama's annual turkey pardon on social media.

Her (now deleted) Facebook post read:

"Dear Sasha and Malia, I get you're both in those awful teen years, but you're a part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play. Then again your mother and father don't respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I'm guessing you're coming up a little short in the 'good role model' department. Nevertheless, stretch yourself. Rise to the occasion. Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don't make faces during televised public events."

After receiving backlash from commenters across the political spectrum, the G.O.P. aide issued an apology statement.
