Thinking about trying to catch one more Oscar nominated film before this Sunday's Academy Awards? Forget it!
Sure, you've heard wonderful things about The King's Speech, but you've got bigger fish to fry now because Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Director's Fan Cut is being released THIS FRIDAY!
That's right, Bieblievers! Last week, we mentioned that Paramount was considering re-releasing the film with additional footage, and now it's happening…even though the original version is still in theaters.
The film is being released solely in 3D, and it will run for ONE WEEK ONLY
until they extend the release with 40 minutes of new footage, and 30 minutes of footage from the original cut out.
For those of you out there who are opposed to this idea, you can still catch the original version of the film in glorious 2D!
Here's what director Jon Chu had to say about the new cut of the film:
"I realized I had an embarrassment of riches when I was I in the cutting room. This cut allows me to retain some of the best scenes from the original movie, while incorporating previously unseen footage and new material I shot during our extensive promotional tour on behalf of the movie. Justin's dedication to his fan base is unwavering and I was inspired as a filmmaker to attempt to provide them a unique experience that showed even more of his world."
Should be inneresting to see how many devoted Bieber fans return to theaters for round two…and then the sequel AND THEN the director's fan cut of the sequel! Ha!
Will U return to theaters for the new cut of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never?
