If this is actually the case, then we're pretty excited!
We reported last week that Wes Craven was packing up and heading back to Michigan to do re-shoots for his upcoming slasher flick, Scream 4, but according to the famed horror director, he's merely ADDING to scenes already shot - to increase the scares!
He explains:
“They’re not reshoots. We had a couple test screenings and we saw two scenes where they had moments you could add to and we just saw a spectacular opportunity. Bob [Weinstein] just said to me basically, ‘You go to your dark side and I’ll give you the money!’ [Laughs] The two scenes were really good, but we saw how they could be spectacular, so we thought, let’s just go for it. They were key moments of the script, so we just decided to go back and go for the grand slam on them. The ending is totally kick-ass. We’re not gonna touch that. [The scenes being added to are] one scene that’s kind of in the late beginning and one scene that’s a little bit later.”
Inneresting!
And based on Alison Brie and Aimee Teegarden's Twitter accounts, we have a feeling that the scenes to which Wes is referring involve the much-speculated-about opening sequence involving the Friday Night Lights actress and Life UneXpected's Brittany Robertson, as well as Brie's encounter with Ghostface in a parking lot (as scene in the trailer)!
EXCELLENT! We have NOTHING but good feelings about this one!
Let's hope that it doesn't disappoint!
Thoughts??
