What an awful month for the music world…
Glenn Frey, guitarist and singer for The Eagles, passed away Monday at the age of 67.
Apparently the classic rocker had been suffering intestinal issues for months and underwent major surgery in November.
Frey sang lead on hits Heartache Tonight, Tequila Sunrise, and Take It Easy and — when the group broke up in 1980 –went on to a successful solo career, including writing and performing the classic Beverly Hills Cop track The Heat Is On.

He worked all the way up to his final years, releasing a solo LP, After Hours, in 2012. Glenn also eventually reunited with Don Henley and the crew for multiple Eagles reunion tours.
Sadly, Frey's condition relapsed right before the holiday season, forcing the group to pull out of a prestigious Kennedy Center Honors appearance in December.
So, so sad.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, loved ones, and band mates.
