Sorry, Woody! Cars 2 Retail Sales Expected To Beat Out Toy Story 3!

cars 2 toys to sell better than toy story 3

Woody, Buzz, and the gang better watch out! It looks like Andy is about to have some NEW toys to play with…

Okay, so Andy's all grown up and probably won't want any Cars 2 toys, but Disney seems to think A LOT of kids WILL want those toys, and according to retail projections the toys will EXCEED Toy Story 3 sales, making the franchise "the largest merchandise program in licensing industry history."

Total retail sales for the Cars franchise have ALREADY crossed the $10 billion mark, so it won't surprise us at all if Toy Story 3 retail sales get trumped by Cars 2.

What would REALLY be a shocker is if there was all of a sudden a Ratatouille resurgence, and THAT franchise ended up with higher retail sales than both the Toy Story AND Cars franchises! LOLz!

Team Cars? Team Toy Story? Team Ratatouille???

Either shoppers don't want to deal with the overcrowded malls or they're just lazy, but either way it's good news for online retailers.

Researchers are predicting online purchases will be up 16% this holiday season, with sales totaling a whopping $52 billion.

Wowsa.

Unfortunately for the brick and mortars, sales are expected to rise only 2.3%.

Ouch.

Where will U be making your holiday purchases this year?
