R Patz Retiring Twilight

We JUST talked to him and didn't get that vibe at all!!

But the truth of the matter is that filming for the Twilight Saga is done and over with, so now the stars get to look forward to figuring out where their future will lead them.

Kristen Stewart thinks she'll never shake her connection to the series, and Ashley Greene says she feels like she's just getting started.

But R-Patz? This is what he said:

Quote Of The Day

"This time, I said, `I really would like to do something else before I quit (the TV business).' And frankly I'd like to have a little time off. I started in 1955 as (an NBC) page over at 30 Rock, so it's been a long time."

Charlie Sheen's Former Goddess Retiring From Porn!

Good for her!

Bree Olson, one of Charlie Sheen's former goddesses, says she's retiring from porn… FOR GOOD!

She's "moved on" from The MaSheen AND starring in such classics as Big Wet Asses 10 and is now taking acting classes to go "mainstream."

After taking a break from the porn biz for over a year, she says that "That part of my life is over," and is looking to become an actress.

Good luck with that, sweetheart. Distancing yourself from Charlie Sheen was definitely your first good move and now trying to do something better with your life is your second good move. Keep trying and reach for the stars!

Regis Philbin In Talks To Move On To New Daytime Talk Show

Seems that Regis Philbin isn't ready to retire.

Even though Regis said, "Everything must come to an end for certain people on camera, especially certain old people," when he announced his retirement on the air back in January, it seems that Regis can't say goodbye to the cameras.

The daytime talk show host is reportedly in talks to move on to another daytime talk show when he leaves Live with Regis and Kelly in November.

He's been in preliminary talks with syndicators such as Harpo and Sony to host a simliar talk show, but with more news coverage.

A source says that his co-host, "Kelly is p—ed."

However, her rep denies that she's upset about Regis moving on, saying, "I don't know. I know she's very supportive of whatever Regis does, so I would doubt the story."

We're glad Regis is thinking of staying on air. We weren't ready to say "so long" to him just yet!

Steven Soderbergh To Retire From Filmmaking

steven-soderbergh-to-quit-filmmaking.jpg

Say it ain't so!

Director Steven Soderbergh says he's quitting filmmaking.

After he finishes his next two movies, Liberace, starring Michael Douglas, and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. starring George Clooney, Soderbergh says he will be moving on.

When asked why he wants to leave films behind, Soderbergh responded:

"It's just time. When you reach the point where you're like if I have to get into a van to do another scout I'm just going to shoot myself, it's time to let somebody else who's still excited about getting in the van, get in the van.

For the last three years I've been turning down everything that comes my way. You're not gonna have Steven Soderbergh to kick around anymore."

Wow, sounds like some bitter grapes. The guy has made many popular films including the Ocean's Eleven series and Erin Brockovich so we hate to see him go…but it seems like he just doesn't have the passion for it anymore.

Oh well. Let's hope he changes his mind.

Phil Collins Is NOT Retiring From Music

phil collins not retiring from music

Back in November, we learned that Phil Collins had contemplated suicide, and had little desire to return to music.

Yesterday, we heard that Phill Collins was officially retiring from music because doctors advised him that his hands are too weak to play the drums, and if he were to continue with his music, he could lose function in them all together.

We totally understood Phil's decision, and even supported it, but now it looks like he actually ISN'T retiring from music.

Here's what his U.K. rep had to say about it:

"He is not, has no intention of, retiring."

We just hope he gives his hands ample time to recover before pursuing music further.

Would U like to see Phil Collins make more music when his hands are better?

Kelly Ripa Pulls It Together To Talk About Regis Leaving

kelly-ripa-statement-on-regis-retiring.jpg

Now that she's over the initial shock of finding out pretty much alongside the whole world that Regis Philbin is retiring for their TV gig, Kelly Ripa has released a statement to express her feelings on the matter.

Yes, she's rather sad about it. Who can blame her? How do you thank someone who's taken you from crayons to perfume minimal recognition to superstardom?

It wasn't easy, but she tried. Her statement reads:

"While I realize that nothing is forever, still I had always hoped there would be an exception. I can't overstate what Regis has brought to the table. His chair might soon be empty but the wonderful moments I have experienced with him over the past 10 years will always make him a meaningful part of my life."

Aww! That's nice! Hopefully, you two will stay in touch the same way he does with Kathie Lee!

Maybe it's too soon to be asking this, but who do U think is going to replace him? Or will he even BE replaced?! Is Kelly out of a job now?

What does this all mean???
