This is a tough loss for Star Wars fans.
Erik Bauersfeld, who played Admiral Ackbar in the popular film franchise, has passed away. The voice actor's rep, Derek Maki, told The Hollywood Reporter that the 93-year-old died on Sunday morning at his home in Berkeley, California.

The voiceover artist played the classic character in the series' third installment, Return of the Jedi, and delivered the iconic line:
"It's a trap!"
He also reprised that role in the most recent release, The Force Awakens. And, the Star Wars alum also played Jabba the Hutt's sidekick Bib Fortuna in Episode VI.
In addition to his roles on the classic series, the entertainer also produced radio dramas, and lent his voice to movies like Crimson Peak and A.I. Artificial Intelligence.
Our hearts are with everyone affected by this difficult loss.
