Amy Schumer's I Feel Pretty Reviews Are Not So Pretty!

no title

Amy Schumer's new film I Feel Pretty is getting hit with the ugly stick by critics, after the embargo lifted on opening day (often not a good sign).

Reviewers consistently praise the supporting cast (in a delightful surprise, 4-time Oscar nominee Michelle Williams is apparently hilarious) and most think the film is trying to have a positive message.

But they can't seem to decide if the entire premise is hopelessly outdated or if the film just slips and falls and hits its head on the Soulcycle floor.

Sean Penn's Debut Novel OBLITERATED By Critics! See The Roughest Reviews HERE!

Sean Penn may have fallen out of love with acting, but he may not want to give up on his day job just yet.

His debut novel, Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff, is getting lambasted by critics for its casual misogyny and meandering, get-off-my-lawn grumpiness, yes.

But mostly they can't get past the awful writing!

Reviewers couldn't help but include crude passages illuminating literary peccadillos like a preponderance of polysyllabic words and a litany of alliteration. (See how annoying that gets? Imagine it for 160 pages.)

Oh, and it ends with a six page poem that trashes the #MeToo movement. Eesh.

Will Jennifer Lawrence suffer yet another flop at the box office this weekend??

Look, we all know Red Sparrow is no match for Black Panther, but it isn't exactly in the same budget range either. It's the type of grownup thriller that gets the audience looking for more provocative, pensive fare.

At least, it's supposed to be.

The Dark Tower Is Getting Toppled By Critics! See The Vicious Review Roundup!

no title

We didn't expect The Dark Tower to be Shakespeare (or even Captain America), but one of the worst reviewed movies of the year??

Yep, as of this writing the movie sits at a sad 16% on Rotten Tomatoes, something that probably shouldn't be too much of a surprise given reviews were embargoed until the day it came out.

But even the kind reviews are so half-hearted, it sounds like the Stephen King adaptation is a movie for NO ONE.

The saddest part is, the books have been coming out for decades, and an adaptation has been in some form of development for about 15 years. And after all that time… eesh.

Too bad for Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey, too. Because they sure are doing their part being adorable to sell it!
