Texas Governor Rick Perry Compares Homosexuality To Alcoholism! Says It's An 'Active Choice!'

Filed under: Icky Icky PooGay Gay GayPolitik

Rick Perry thinks homosexuality is a choice and even compared it to alcoholism!

And to think this guy came THIS close to being a presidential candidate!

Texas Governor Rick Perry cause quite a stir recently at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco (If you're gonna say some awful shizz about the LGBT community, might as well be in SF we guess!) when he was asked whether or not he believed homosexuality was a disorder!

Being the straight shooter that he is, he gave an excruciatingly cringe-worthy explanation as to why homosexuality and alcoholism are more or less the same thing! Wait, WHAT?!

He says:

The husband and wife have teamed up in this funny and provocative vid to give a taste of the sock-puppet doctor world that could ensue with Texas' newly signed anti-abortion laws.

But we'd rather keep socks out of our hoohas and on our feet where they belong, thank you very much, Gov. Rick Perry!

Watch, learn, and make change HAPPEN!!!

Texas Anti-Abortion Bill Shot Down After Marathon Filibuster Falls Short!

wendy davis filibuster falls short but texas anti abortion bill shot down

A bill that would have put heavy restrictions on abortions in the state of Texas was declared dead early this morning, but it wasn't without its fair share of drama!

Senator Wendy Davis was at the center of it all yesterday when she attempted a 13-hour filibuster to block any voting on the bill. However, her effort fell three hours short after she was given third strike for violating rules when it was determined she had gone off topic!

A packed gallery full of protestors broke into boos chants of "Shame! Shame! Shame!" as the people took over where Wendy left off, and the room erupted into applause when the clock struck midnight and it looked as though the bill was officially dead!

See the controversial and INSANE final 10 minutes of the special session AFTER THE JUMP!!!

Aww! Poor Bill Hader!

What? His Rick Perry impression was getting really good on SNL! Another week or two, he would've had it down SOLID! Whomp, whomp.

For anyone who actually gives a damn about his homophobe, Ricky Perry is telling his supporters that

Mitt Romney Wins New Hampshire

mitt romney new hampshire

Despite his competition's digs at him against his Bain record, Mitt Romney actually won New Hampshire.

And no, no McCain this time to endorse President Obama instead, ha!

While Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry both tried hard to tear him down, with Perry even comparing what he did to Bain as a vulture leaving a skeleton behind, Mitt pulled through.

Romney Edges Out Santorum For Iowa Caucuses

mitt-romney-wins-iowa-caucuses-web.jpg

Looks like as long as you can stay still, you can win a primary.

Mitt Romney barely pulled out an Iowa caucus victory over surging candidate Rick Santorum. The Stormin' Mormon edged out his counterpart by 8 votes.

Michele Bachmann, who finished 6th, announced a press conference for 11 AM EST on January 4th, suggesting that she (FINALLY) might be tapping out.

Rick Perry Sees A Movie, Automatically Changes His Stance On Abortion

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TruePolitik

Rick Perry Abortion

Rick Perry recently saw a movie, you guys, and it was so good that it changed his stance on abortion.

It wasn't just any movie, either. It was a movie produced by Oscar award winning producer Mike Huckabee, and Citizens United called The Gift Of Life.

Wait, we're sorry. Mike Huckabee isn't oscar award winning. In fact, he's just the former Arkansas governor and Natalie Portman Pregnancy Expert who once said, "Politics are totally directed by worldview. That's why when people say, 'We ought to separate politics from religion,' I say to separate the two is absolutely impossible."

So the movie was probably really impartial.

Anyway, Perry sees this flick and decided that ALL abortions shouldn't be allowed, even though he has been standing behind the idea that abortions in cases of rape and abuse should be treated differently.

Perry calls this a "transformation."

"You're seeing a transformation. It was … when the lady who was in (The Gift of Life) was looking me in the eye and said 'you really need to think this through.' She said 'I am the product of a rape' and she said 'my life is worth (it).' It was a powerful moment."

"All I can tell you was God was working on my heart."

Really? Swayed by one movie? That's all it takes for you to change a steadfast stance on something?

We wonder if his stance on oil tycoons changed after viewing The Muppets, or his stance on putting ideas into peoples' heads through dreams changed after watching Inception.

Regardless of your abortion stance, this totally sounds like a ploy to get conservative voters to support him.
