Last night, Jon Stewart went on Larry King Live to discuss what's going down in his life. He talked about his upcoming rally, his new book and of course, the elephant in the room, Rick Sanchez.

The great thing about Jon is that no matter what the subject, he's always eloquent and fair. Lol!

Elliot Spitzer Doing Worse Than Rick Sanchez

cnns parker spitzer tanks in the ratings

We didn't even know that was possible!

CNN debuted Parker Spitzer this week, the hourlong roundtable with disgraced New York State governor Eliot Spitzer and conservative columnist Kathleen Parker, and it tanked.

The show only brought in 465,500 viewers for the week, which wasn't much lower than Rick Sanchez's show Rick's List. His show had 3 million more viewers when it temporarily took over that time slot.

And despite the buzz over the premiere, Parker Spitzer was beat by cable competition Bill O'Reilly, Keith Olbermann and Nancy Grace.

Should have stuck with Campbell Brown!

Apologies Won't Help Fired CNN Host Rick Sanchez!

apologies not helping rick sanchez find a job

Although Rick Sanchez apologized for his offensive rant last week, it isn't enough to get him a job at Fox News or MSNBC because they are "not interested."

And we don't blame them! After calling Jon Stewart "a bigot," accusing CNN execs of discriminating against him and impling that Jews run the media industry, he's in deep shiz.

Sanchez said:

"On October 4th, I had a very good conversation with Jon Stewart, and I had the opportunity to apologize for my inartful comments from last week. I sincerely extend this apology to anyone else whom I may have offended.

As Jon was kind enough to note in his show Monday night, I am very much opposed to hate and intolerance, in any form, and I have frequently spoken out against prejudice. Despite what my tired and mangled words may have implied, they were never intended to suggest any sort of narrow-mindedness and should never have been made.

In the aftermath of these comments, CNN and I have decided to part ways. However, I want to go on record to say that I have nothing but the highest regard for CNN and for my six wonderful years with them. I appreciate every opportunity that they have given me, and it has been a wonderful experience working for them. I have tremendous respect for everyone there, and I know that they feel the same about me. There are no hard feelings – just excitement about a new future of opportunities.

I look forward to my next step with great anticipation.

In the meantime, I will continue to promote my book, Conventional Idiocy, in the hopes of broadening the discussion to get a better understanding between all Americans, regardless of race, creed or religion."

Yikes! He'll be lucky to sell five copies!

rich sanchez apologizes to jon steward sanchezs wife reveals

After being let go from CNN, Rick Sanchez apologized to Jon Stewart for his rant on air last week.

"Rick apologized to jon stewart today," wrote Sanchez's wife, Suzanne, on her Facebook page.

Suzanne added:

"They had a good talk. jon was gracious and called rick, 'thin-skinned.' His exhaustion from working 14 hr days for 2 mo. straight, caused him to mangle his thought process inartfully. he got caught up in the banter and deeply apologizes to anyone who was offended by his unintended comments."

We wish Rick would have filled us in instead, but we bet Jon loved that apology.

What's in store for you next, Sanchez?!

At Comedy Central's "Night of Too Many Stars," on Saturday night, Jon Stewart shot back at Rick Sanchez's "bigot" comments, saying, "If you went on the radio and said the Jews control the media…you may want to hold on to your money."

Then Stewart added that all Sanchez has to do "is apologize to us, and we'll hire him back."

Other celebs like David Letterman and Tom Brokaw also addressed the controversy, with Letterman making a surprise appearance and joking that he was in the city, "helping Rick Sanchez clean out his office."

LOLs.

The benefit will air on Comedy Central Oct. 21. We'll definitely be watching that.

CNN Fires Rick Sanchez!

jonstewart101e.jpg

We're sorry you lost your 8 p.m. timeslot on CNN to the new Parker Spitzer talk show, Rick, but you really should have practiced some better self control, or ANY at all!

Rick Sanchez flipped out during an interview on Pete Dominick's Sirius XM show, and he lashed out against CNN, as well as Jon Stewart, who regularly makes fun of him.

By the end of the interview, Sanchez had called Stewart a bigot, basically said that CNN is controlled by Jews, and said that CNN passed him over for a promotion because he's Latino.

Wow. That's just a lot of really big issues to address all at once.

Here are some of the ill-advised statements that he made during this interview…

First, against CNN:

"It's not just the right that does this. 'Cause I've known a lot of elite, Northeast establishment liberals that may not use this as a business model, but deep down, when they look at a guy like me, they look at a … they see a guy automatically who belongs in the second tier and not the top tier … White folks usually don't see it, but we do, those of us who are minorities … Here, I'll give you my example, it's this, 'You know what, I don't want you anchoring anymore. I really don't see you as an anchor, I see you more as a reporter. I see you more as a Jon Quinones.' You know, the guy on ABC. That's what he told me, he told me he saw me as Jon Quinones. Now, did he not realize that he was telling me, 'when I see you I think of Hispanic reporters?' 'Cause in his mind, I can't be an anchor, an anchor's what you give the high profile white guys."

On Jon Stewart:

"It happens all the time. I think to a certain extent, Jon Stewart and Colbert are the same way. I think Jon Stewart's a bigot … Yeah, I think he's a bigot … I think he looks at the world through his mom who was a schoolteacher and his dad who was a physicist, or something like that.

On Jewish people being a minority:

"Yeah, very powerless people. [laughs] He's such a minority. I mean, you know, please. What are you kidding? I'm telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart. And to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority?"

You dug quite the hole for yourself there, Rick. Good luck getting out of that one!

What do U think about these intense claims by Rick Sanchez?

Update: Sanchez has just been fired!
