If you weren't asked back for a third year for the Golden Globes, what would you do instead??
We'd probably take a page out of Ricky Gervais's books — and hit the pavement!!

Ricky Gervais is everyone's favorite funny man!
And now we can add philanthropic to that list as well as phunny funny.
On Twitter, Ricky dared a soccer sportscaster, Gary Lineker, to use a British sports cliche in his broadcast.

Michael J. Fox joined forces with a host of comedians, musicians, filmmakers, actors and politicians on Saturday night to raise money for fighting Parkinson's disease.
"A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson's…" combined music and comedy to raise $4.1 million for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research!
The evening at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel New York City was hosted by The Daily Show's John Oliver and featured comedian Mike Birbiglia with special guest Ricky Gervais!
Guests were also entertained by rapper Kid Cudi and special musical guest Joan Jet, who was able to lure Michael onto the stage for a rare Back To The Future moment where he shredded his guitar alongside the rock icon.
Sounds like a blast and we wish we were there!

Ricky Gervais just recently got back into the swing of social networking, and he hasn't been slouching. He's actually used the internet as a way to announce two new shows, one of them being a Derek Noakes show!
If you don't remember Derek Noakes, he's a character that Ricky played back in the 90's — a very light hearted, mentally challenged comedian, "who loves animals and still lives with his mum."
You can see the sketch above.
Here's what the other show is about:
"We are planning a pilot of my show idea 'The Short Way Round.' Basically I send Karl around the world on a bike with Warwick in the basket on the front. It's not Shakespeare but it's f*cking funny right? The 3 of us did a photo shoot together last week. I may post a sneak look soon."
Sounds pretty great! And we're sure both will be absolutely hilarious!
