Lil’ Wayne Found Love In A Hopeless Place!

lil-wayne-penned-love-song-album-in-jail.jpg

No, not with a fellow inmate, but with his inner romantic…kind of.

While locked in his Rikers Island jail cell, Lil' Wayne wrote an album full of love songs…but not in the traditional way that you and I might know love, this is love, Wayne style:

Lil' Wayne Opens Up About Jail

lil-wayne-talks-to-rolling-stone-about-jail-time

Wow. Regardless of how you feel about him, this is definitely going to be a fascinating read

The latest issue of Rolling Stone features an article with Lil' Wayne, who opened up for the first time about the eight months he spent behind bars at Riker's Island, his job there as a suicide prevention aid, and how he kept himself busy!

According to Weezy, he became so good at Uno that the other inmates didn't want to play with him anymore!

He explains:

"I'd bust a n***a's ass at Uno. We gamble for phone time. I'd take n***a's commissary: Lemme get them cookies, lemme get them chips, get that soup. They'd be like, 'Oh, we thought you were asleep.' Like you can't look inside my cell and see that I'm right there! We ain't got no doors!"

The rapper also revealed that he read a variety of biographies, on artists like Jimi Hendrix, Anthony Kiedis, Joan Jett, and Marvin Gaye…before turning his focus to the Bible:

"[Kiedis'] Scar Tissue was really good. I also read the Bible for the first time. It was deep! I liked the parts where some character was once this, but he ended up being that. Like he'd be dissing Jesus, and then he ends up being a saint. That was cool."

Finally, he opened up his worst month there, which happened to be his last, because he got stuck in solitary confinement for being caught with an iPod charger in his room. He also had a watch with an mp3 player on it, but was lucky enough to have another inmate pretend that it was his so Weezy wouldn't get in any more trouble.

He says:

"He was a solid n***a. Shout-out to Charles…Solitary was the worst. No TV. No radio. No commissary. Basically you're in there 23 hours a day."

Despite the light tone in which he talks about his time, we sense that the entire experience has really changed his outlook on quite a bit, and we're very interested to see if it manifests itself in the next material he produces.

Thoughts??

Wheezy Helps A Fan In Need, Buys Her Mother A Wheelchair!

This was so nice of him!

While Lil' Wayne was serving time in Riker's Island, he was constantly recieving letters from a fan in New Jersey, Ronda Austin. In her letters, which came once a week, she would tell him about her life and family, including her mother, who has been confined to a wheelchair for quite some time now.

After hearing about the women's plight, Wheezy, while still in prison, had his charitable foundation bring the woman a brand new motorized wheelchair, with his thanks for the family's support. And no one was more surprised than Ronda.

She told sources:

"I couldn't believe it. I never asked for nothing. I just told him all kinds of different things about me. I never even said I needed help."

As for her mother, Evelyn, the chair has given her a new lease on life, allowing her to finally leave her home and take strolls around the neighborhood and even take a trip to Atlantic City. She told sources:

"I pray for him every night thanking him for this chair."

When reached for comment about his most generous gift, Nina Packer, who heads Lil' Wayne's charitable foundation, would only say it was "something he was compelled to do."

Such a good deed. That's what the spirit of the season is all about!

Lil' Wayne Impregnated A Woman Before Rikers Island?

lil wayne paternity test illegitimate child

Lil' Wayne probably prepared himself for a slew of challenges while serving at Rikers Island. One thing we're sure he didn't plan for was getting hit with a paternity suit while behind bars!

And yet…

Sources are reporting that while Weezy was in jail, a woman in Missouri came forward, claiming to be the grandmother of an 8-year-old girl Lil' Wayne father in 2002. The grandmother went so far as to obtain a court order for a paternity test, but with Wayne behind bars at the time, there was nothing to be done. The judge in the case ordered the test be postponed and the deadline for Weezy to prove the kid is or isn't his is December 9.

What's strange about this whole thing is that the grandmother wouldn't say how her daughter plays into this scenario or if she even knows about the test. In fact, the birth mother wasn't even listed on any of the documents.

Figure that one out!

Lil Wayne Gets Prison Guard Suspended

lil wayne gets security guard suspended without pay

Lil Wayne is scheduled to be released from prison in a week, but he managed to cause a lil bit more drama before leaving!

Captain Raphael Collazzo, a prison guard at Riker's, has been given a 10 day suspension, without pay, for making an unauthorized visit to Weezy while he was in solitary confinement.

At least 2 other guards have gotten into trouble for unauthorized visits with Lil Wayne.

Guess these guards are sick of the same old non-famous inmates. Must be worth some discipline for them to get some excitement in their lives.

If U were a guard at Riker's Island, would U risk getting in trouble to chill with Weezy?

Lil Wayne Reaches Out To Fans From Solitary

lil wayne releases another statement from solitary confinement

Last week, Lil Wayne had sent out what he thought would be his final letter from prison, but it looks like he's been able to communicate with the outside world again!

Weezy sent a statement out to fans through his website, where he wrote the following about his time in solitary confinement at Riker's:

"This punishment has been handed to me for my earlier MP3 incident. I admit, I f***ed up and now I must deal with the consequences. As I write this, I only have 25 days left [20 days at press time], and it'll be even less than that when you read this. So honestly, I'm fine. Obviously, [solitary] gives me a lot of time to myself and a lot of alone time with my thoughts, which can be creatively dangerous."

We're not sure exactly what you mean by "creatively dangerous," but we'll be curious to see how that manifests itself into music when you get out!

Stay positive, Weezy. You've got a lot on the horizon, including the fact that the CD release of I Am Not A Human Being is projected to top the Billboard 200 next week.

You're almost out of there, bb!

What do U think about Weezy's new music? Do U think it deserves to hit the top spot on the Billboard 200?
