Lil Wayne is scheduled to be released from prison in a week, but he managed to cause a lil bit more drama before leaving!
Captain Raphael Collazzo, a prison guard at Riker's, has been given a 10 day suspension, without pay, for making an unauthorized visit to Weezy while he was in solitary confinement.
At least 2 other guards have gotten into trouble for unauthorized visits with Lil Wayne.
Guess these guards are sick of the same old non-famous inmates. Must be worth some discipline for them to get some excitement in their lives.
If U were a guard at Riker's Island, would U risk getting in trouble to chill with Weezy?
Last week, Lil Wayne had sent out what he thought would be his final letter from prison, but it looks like he's been able to communicate with the outside world again!
Weezy sent a statement out to fans through his website, where he wrote the following about his time in solitary confinement at Riker's:
"This punishment has been handed to me for my earlier MP3 incident. I admit, I f***ed up and now I must deal with the consequences. As I write this, I only have 25 days left [20 days at press time], and it'll be even less than that when you read this. So honestly, I'm fine. Obviously, [solitary] gives me a lot of time to myself and a lot of alone time with my thoughts, which can be creatively dangerous."
We're not sure exactly what you mean by "creatively dangerous," but we'll be curious to see how that manifests itself into music when you get out!
Stay positive, Weezy. You've got a lot on the horizon, including the fact that the CD release of I Am Not A Human Being is projected to top the Billboard 200 next week.
You're almost out of there, bb!

Lil Wayne's had a rough ride at Riker's, but he's kept an impressively positive attitude!
Here's a final letter that Weezy has released to his fans from prison:
“Hello world. Time is ticking and I’m counting every second. Because of my new limitations, this unfortunately has to be my last letter. I don’t think people truly understand how much their thoughts and well wishes have helped me through this time in my life. Not everyone is as lucky as I am and it humbles me daily. You would be amazed what positivity can do in a negative environment. I’m going to miss reading about your lives. I’m going to miss looking at the pictures. They were the highlight of my days aside from speaking with my kids. Don’t stress over this in 27 days, the ride starts again.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who is supporting I Am Not A Human Being. It amazes me each time people go out and support my music. I’ll always be in debt to you for that. Keep rocking your “Free Weezy” tees and rocking out to my music. Trust me when I say this is almost over. I love you. I’ll continue to pray for all of you. Just keep doing the same for me.” -WEEZY
Surprisingly inspiring and heartfelt stuff, Weezy!
We wish U the best of luck with your final weeks at Riker's, bb!

Check out the videos (above) to see Lil Wayne's guest phone appearances on the show…from jail.
In the first interview, Weezy talks about the massive quantities of fan mail that he receives on a daily basis. He claims he's been sent more then 1,000,000 pieces of fan mail since he started his sentence at Riker's Island.
During his second
sort of appearance on the show, he surprised the show's not-imprisoned-guest Drake, and made fun of him for receiving some taped love from Snooki! Nice to see Weezy with a sense of humor, even while in prison.
We haven't been head-over-heels in love with Weezy's new stuff thus far, but who knows? Maybe he'll step up his game when he's no longer an inmate!
