Will.i.am's #Willpower Withers & Dies Despite Help From Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, & Miley Cyrus!

will i am willpower weak debut number 9 billboard chart miley cyrus britney spears justin bieber

The numbers are in and it's official: will.i.am's latest solo album is an HUGE BUST!

The singer clearly fell victim to one of the classic blunders — the most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia," but only slightly less well-known is "never release your album when Michael Bublé is charting!"

Despite help from Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and even Chris Brown — who was arrested for mercilessly beating Rihanna in 2009 — #Willpower sold only 29,000 copies!!!

Coming in below everyone from Fall Out Boy to Rob Zombie, will's solo effort barely cracked the Top Ten!!

Ch-ch-check out the rest of the list…AFTER THE JUMP!!!

Halloween 3-D Is A GO!

halloween-3-gets-a-release-date

It's on!

Iconic serial killer Michael Myers absolutely REFUSES to stay buried, because the much-discussed third addition the Rob Zombie-birthed reboot of the franchise, Halloween 3-D, has officially been given an October 26th, 2012 release date - despite the fact that there is no official director OR script!

Back in 2009, Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer had been attached to take on the story, which would have picked up directly after Halloween II, as the former explained:

Rob Zombie Brings The Scares To Laundry Detergent Ad!

Filed under: TV NewsWacky, Tacky & True

Wow! LOLz!

Rob Zombie is probably best known as of late for being a horror director, and apparently, he's taken that aesthetic to a new medium - detergent commercials!

Check out his very creative ad for Woolite brand laundry detergent (above)!

Apparently, Zombie was going for a Tim Burton-esque, Addams Family vibe…and we think that it's actually very successful!

Full of atmosphere, but still very restrained!

Now if he could only have done that in any of his movies! Ha!

We'll be curious to see if other generic household products try to spice up their ad campaigns with similar commercials!

Horror Director Talks New Hellraiser And Halloween 3-D

horror director talks halloween 3d and hellraiser reboot

After Rob Zombie's unwatchable unimpressive Halloween II, we were NOT excited to hear that another Halloween film was in the works.

Fortunately, it looks like Rob Zombie won't be involved in the upcoming Halloween film, so MAYBE it won't be too bad.

Here's what horror director/Zombie's replacement Patrick Lussier had to say about Halloween 3-D, as well as his upcoming Hellraiser reboot:

"Yeah, well, [we've got] the [H3] script sitting there. We would make that in a hearbeat…[The Weinsteins'] focus has shifted onto Hellraiser, and they obviously want to focus on Scream 4…[their] sort of "slasher mind" is probably very, very focused on that film and the release of that film. So I can't really speak for them, you know?"

"I wish I had more to tell you. I know Todd and I would love to shoot that, love to shoot the script [that was] so much fun to write and delve into that Carpenter world."

Sounds like we've got a ways to go until the next Halloween, but looks like it'll def happen after Hellraiser, unless the Weinsteins decide to focus on Scream 5 by that point instead.

What upcoming horror movies are U excited for?

Slash Starts His Own Horror Movie Production Company!

slash-to-launch-horror-movie-production-company-called-slasher-films

Wow!

We'd normally write this off as a crappy retread of Rob Zombie's transition into the genre, but it seems like he actually has some pretty inneresting ideas!

Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash recently announced that he plans to launch his own horror movie production company, which he's calling Slasher Films, and he already has FOUR projects in the works!

Nothing To Fear will reportedly be about the real town of Stull, Kansas, which many believe to be the 'gateway to hell,' while Theorem tells the story of a mathetmatician who discovers the equation for evil. Meanwhile, there's also Wake the Dead will be modern take on the Frankenstein story and focuses on a college student who learns how to animate dead tissue, and The Other Kingdom, which seems like a pretty by-the-books zombie flick!

Slash explains:

"What I want to do is bring back character-driven, dramatic, intelligent, humorous horror movies - horror movies that have some depth. Now it's all about the sensationalism and shock value."

Nice!

We definitely think that if done well, some of those flicks might actually be pretty good! AND scary!

We're looking forward to seeing what you produce, bb!

Nothing's more fun than a good horror flick!

What do U think?? Are U excited for Slash's new production company??
