Did Al Roker's Ryan Lochte Rant Get Him In Trouble With NBC?!

Ryan Lochte certainly upset a lot of people for lying about getting robbed in Rio… but is he the only one pissing people off in this scandal?!

Last week, Al Roker SLAMMED the sports star on TODAY for fabricating a story about being held up at gunpoint while in the Brazil city for the 2016 Olympics.

The broadcaster called out the scandalized celeb for repeatedly lying about the whole thing, but it seems his on-air rant might've rubbed some people at the morning show the wrong way.

A source told Page Six some staffers on the show are "embarrassed," saying:

"There were several producers and talent who were left trying to explain Al's over-the-top behavior. Several insiders found themselves wanting to distance themselves from his response."

Considering the athlete caused a global scandal and pretty much humiliated the US, we don't think it was unreasonable for the weatherman to be pissed.

But, insiders claim NBC did not approve of the 62-year-old's explosive outburst, adding:

Ryan Lochte's Teammate Conor Dwyer Says The Swimmer Is 'Genuinely A Good Guy' Amid #LochteGate!

Ryan Lochte is losing sponsors and getting a lot of heat after he lied about being robbed at gunpoint while in Rio de Janeiro.

But one of the swimmer's Olympics teammates insists he's not a bad guy, even though the athlete didn't come clean right away.

On Monday, Conor Dwyer sat down with Maria Menounos during her SiriusXM radio show to address his fellow sports star's scandal.

When the E! host brought up the controversy, the 27-year-old maintained that the New York native is still a good person, in spite of everything that happened, saying:

"I've known him for a long time. I've trained with him, been teammates with him, and he's genuinely a good guy. So, it hurts to see him in this position and make a mistake like that."

But, that doesn't necessarily mean the Illinois athlete condones Mr. Lochte's attempted coverup, because he added:

Cops in Indianapolis are under the gun today after shooting a homeowner INSTEAD OF the robber during a break-in early Tuesday morning in the Indiana city.

A few hours after midnight, police received a 911 call from a homeowner on the east side of Indianapolis reporting a possible robbery, and when cops got there, they shot and wounded an armed man!

Ryan Lochte is STILL standing by his story.

During a press conference on Thursday, Rio's Chief of Civil Police Fernando Velaso told the media that "there was no robbery" at gunpoint, like the Olympian had claimed.

Instead, investigators say the scandalized swimmer is making up this story to cover up the fact that he and his teammates vandalized a gas station bathroom.

The Rio police are speaking out amid that Ryan Lochte robbery controversy.

On Thursday, authorities held a press conference to address the scandalized swimmer's supposed story about being robbed at gunpoint in the Brazil city.

Chief of Civil Police Fernando Veloso spoke to the media about their investigation, exclaiming "there was no robbery," like the New York native had claimed.

In fact, the official explained the swimmers had actually vandalized a gas station bathroom and broke a mirror before an alleged altercation with security guards.

The chief said they tried to leave $20 and 100 Brazilian reales to pay for the damage because they didn't want to wait for the cops to arrive.

But, it turns out one part of Mr. Lochte's story was somewhat true.

Ryan Lochte doesn't give a f*ck that his teammates admitted to lying about getting robbed at gunpoint in Rio! The scandalized swimmer is STILL maintaining that he was telling the truth.

The Olympian's teammates Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz revealed their story was fabricated after surveillance video showed them fighting with a security guard.

However, sources say the 32-year-old and his team are claiming the footage was edited to exclude the part of the incident in which the athletes were taken out of their cab at gunpoint.

And, insiders explain the sports star allegedly mistook the security guards' uniforms for police attire.

But the confidantes can't make any excuses for the part of Ryan's story that claims their taxi was pulled over in the middle of a trip, since they were caught on camera at a gas station.
