The Family Of Robert Durst's Missing Wife Petitions To Have Her Officially Declared Dead

What a sad process for Kathleen Durst's family.

According to legal docs, Kathleen's family is petitioning a judge to have her declared dead. The New York native was married to alleged murderer and criminal Robert Durst up until her disappearance in 1982.

For those don't know, Robert is widely suspected to have killed Kathie over a marital issues and had allegedly beat her in the past. Some argue Durst had even confessed his crime to his former best friend Susan Berman… a woman he's now accused of also murdering in 2000.

Yep, this is one crazy case. To make matters even more interesting, Mr. Durst allegedly said he "killed them all" in the documentary series The Jinx.

With all this circumstantial evidence stacked against R.D., Kathleen's family hopes a judge will declare their loved one dead so they may proceed with a lawsuit against the alleged murderer. In the multi-million dollar suit, the fam claims Robert's involvement in Kathie's disappearance has blocked them from choosing her form of burial, which is against their rights.

Kathie's sister said in her appeal to the judge:

"There is a strong probability that Durst killed Kathie. He is a violent criminal who had physically beaten Kathie on numerous occasions before her disappearance."

How heartbreaking. We just hope the judge does what's best for the family and for Kathy.

What do YOU think of this latest legal move?

The Jinx's Robert Durst Pleads Guilty And Is Heading To Prison For 7 Years — But Not For Murder!

This is an interesting development.

Robert Durst has been a suspect in several murders, and he finally admitted guilt in a New Orleans federal court on Wednesday — but not for any of the killings.

The New York real estate heir finally plead guilty to those gun charges for illegally possessing a .38-caliber revolver.

Last year, the subject of the HBO docu-series The Jinx was arrested by the FBI, who feared that Durst was about to flee the country.

During his arrest at the J.W. Marriott Hotel, where he had registered under an alias name, officials discovered a handgun. Since the 72-year-old was a convicted felon at the time, it was illegal for him to possess a firearm.

Under a plea bargain arrangement, Durst will be sentenced to 85 months in federal prison, and will eventually be transferred to prison in El Lay by August 18 — where he will face murder charges.

Last year, the millionaire was arrested for the execution-style shooting of his college friend Susan Berman – an act in which authorities think was to keep her from talking to investigators about the disappearance of his first wife Kathleen McCormack in 1982.

Durst has gotten off for murder before with the help of the best defense lawyers in the country — he was never even charged in the disappearance of his first wife!

He was also acquitted of murder charges in 2003, despite admitting that he cut up his neighbor Morris Black and threw the parts into Galveston Bay. Allegedly, the death was an accident after the two men fought over a gun.

But now, it looks like Durst's luck is finally running out…

Robert Durst Makes Extradition Deal With Feds — See Why The Jinx Is 'Eager' To Face Murder Charges In Los Angeles!

Robert Durst is heading back to the West Coast.

Earlier this year, the subject of the HBO docu-series The Jinx was charged with murder for the 2000 execution-style shooting of his college friend Susan Berman — allegedly to keep her from talking to investigators about the disappearance of his first wife in 1982.

Next summer, the New York real estate heir will return to El Lay to face the murder charges — and possibly the death penalty.

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said the former fugitive agreed to be extradited from New Orleans by August 18, 2016.

According to court filings, the 72-year-old has struck a plea deal with federal prosecutors on a federal gun charge — which has kept him held in Louisiana since March.

One of Durst's lawyers, Dick DeGuerin, said in a statement that the extradition deal was:

"Part of our effort to have Robert Durst face and defeat the California murder charge as soon as possible. Bob Durst didn't kill Susan Berman and doesn't know who did… He is eager to go to trial and prove his innocence."

We're not sure what will come of this extradition agreement, but hopefully the truth comes out and justice will be served.

The Jinx Villain Robert Durst May Pay For More Crimes — He's Being Sued For $100 Million By His Missing Wife's Family!

no title

This sure would make for an interesting second season…

The story of an HBO mini-series turned real-life murder scandal captured most of America in 2015, and it looks like Robert Durst's legal problems just got even worse.

After the real estate heir was arrested for first-degree murder the day before the finale of The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, the 72-year-old is now facing yet another lawsuit.

Kathleen McCormack was Robert's wife from 1973 until she went missing in 1982, and although her death was never confirmed, her family is now suing her ex for $100 million!

Kathie's 101-year-old mother Ann McCormack and three sisters have filed a suit against Robert on the grounds that he denied them the right to a proper funeral after committing the alleged murder, and if they win, they'll be taking almost his entire fortune.

Robert has been in jail since March and will most likely be sentenced to five years more years on a gun charge he received after his mini-series aired in February.

Of course, he could face even more time behind bars thanks to his televised murder admission.

Do U see Robert Durst ever being a free man again??

The Jinx Star Robert Durst Faces A Major Legal Battle From His Missing Wife's Family

Filed under: Icky Icky PooLegal MattersViolenceNews

It's pretty safe to say Robert Durst is DONE.

Not only is the Jinx star and multiple murder suspect being held on gun charges in New Orleans, but now he's facing a civil lawsuit from his missing wife's family.

Related: Was Robert 'Tricked' Into Confessing To Murder?

Kathleen Durst, who went missing in 1982, was Robert's first and only wife. Its been long assumed that the business mogul murdered Kathy after she asked for a $250,000 divorce settlement, a theory which has been supported by the police and the aspiring pediatrician's family.

After R.D. famously said, "I killed them all, of course", in the HBO docu-series The Jinx, Kathleen's family became more motivated than ever to pursue legal action against the New York native.

Now the fam, spearheaded by Kathy's brother James McCormack, is filing a wrongful death lawsuit against Robert.

James recently became the administrator of K.D.'s estate now that his 101-year-old mother is too old to handle the legal responsibilities. McCormack's move to become the administrator is the first step in pursuing legal action against Durst.

Hopefully this maneuver will bring some sense of closure to Kathy's family.

We'll keep you updated as the case progresses.

The Jinx's Robert Durst Peed On Some Candy At A CVS, But Was It All A Medical Mishap???

no title

Just when you think Robert Durst can't shock you any more… he does!

The star of HBO's The Jinx is already imprisoned for weapons charges and wanted for the murder of his friend Susan Berman, and video might not help his overall case. Unless it's all a big misunderstanding of course!

[ Related: Was Robert Durst 'Tricked' Into Confessing By The Jinx Filmmakers?? ]

In CVS security footage taken last year, Durst goes to checkout, but then exposes himself and pees all over at least $100 worth of candy right there in the front! Then, he casually walked out of the store.

While many are assuming he did it on purpose — after all, he copped to murdering three people!!! — defense attorney Chip Davis blames the tiny tinkle on a medical problem.

Ch-ch-check out the video (below) and see what you think!
