Looks like Randy Quaid and his wife Evi bailed on yet another mandatory court hearing. It's getting to the point where it would be more of a news story if they actually ATTENDED a court hearing.
Here's what Deputy District Attorney Anthony Davis had to say about the Quaids' absence:
"It wasn't until bail was set at $100,000 that they finally showed. The 'People' are asking to increase bail to get the Quaids here. We ask that you raise it to $100,000. $20,000 doesn't seem to do anything to get them here."
The Quaids had attorney Robert Sanger appear on their behalf, even though he hadn't been officially retained by the couple as their counsel. Bizarre.
As a result of the Quaids' absence, the judge raised their bail to $50,000 each, and ordered that they appear in court on Tuesday, October 26
as if it even matters.
Assuming they actually attend the October 26 hearing, the following charges will be addressed:
-Evi Quaid's violation of a PRIOR probation, due to the most recent arrest
-Evi Quaid's second misdemeanor for "resisting obstruct delay of peace officer or EMT (emergency medical technician)"
-The couples' charge of "Felony vandalism exceeding $400 and a misdemeanor of unauthorized entry of a dwelling house"
Quaids - We hope you'll attend the October 26 hearing, face your charges, and make the effort to stay out of trouble.
Do U think the Quaids will get their act together? Or do U think the trouble will continue?
