Robin Gibb Needs More Chemo

Robin Gibb More Chemo

Can't Robin Gibb just get a break??

He's been through enough. Cancer treatments, a coma (and learning to walk and eat again), and now he needs more chemotherapy.

Here's what composer Jim Dooley, a friend, had to say:

"Dwina has said Robin's chances are 50-50. Because he spent so long in a coma, there are a lot of things he must learn to do again, including how to walk. He is receiving prayers from every religion all over the world - and I understand a special blessing is on the way from the Pope. The plan is to get his strength up so he can resume chemotherapy."

We can't even imagine how hard this is for him and his family. They've been through so much.

Hopefully this will be the last of it and it'll get him back in good health!

We're pulling for you, Robin! You can do this!!

Robin Gibb Could Leave The Hospital By The End Of The Week

This man's recovery is incredible enough on its own, let alone how quickly he seems to be on the mend!

Robin Gibb reportedly had a 10% chance of survival when he slipped into a coma earlier in the month while battling both colon and liver cancer, as well as pneumonia, but he remarkably was able to wake up last week - and now is doing so well that he is preparing to leave the hospital!

Robin Gibb's Family Speaks After Coma

Gibb Bucket List

We are still SO glad to hear that Robin Gibb has come out of his coma over the weekend.

Apparently it was much worse than we thought, so our elation at this news is multiplied! As it turns out, they gave Robin an under 10% survival chance.

Here's what his wife, Dwina, had to say:

"He is fantastic at the moment. He is laughing, he is joking, he is really happy. He just wants to get out. He has been very naughty because he pulled his feeding tube out so the nurses will have to put it back in again but he wants ice cream…he wants all kinds of things. It's good anyway. We played music to him for about ten days so we asked him if he wanted to listen to any more music and he said no - we've bombarded him with music for about 10 days. It was very interesting…”

Incredible! Here's what Robin-John, his son, had to say:

"He woke up while we were playing the track which is a movement from the [Titanic] Requiem we have just written. He is completely compos mentis now and the first thing he said to me was ‘Hi R-J, can you tell them my back hurts?' so we got a nurse to turn him. We said we loved each other. Two days before that they said they'd thrown the kitchen sink at him, that it was time to make plans because he was in God's hands and such but he beats the odds again and they gave him an under 10% survival chance and he has beaten the odds…he really is something else."

This is seriously amazing, and we can't explain how happy we are for Robin and his family!

We can only hope for a continued and speedy recovery now!

Robin Gibb Slips Into A Coma

This is just too sad.

As we've reported, Robin Gibb has been battling both colon and liver cancer since 2010, and now, on top of catching pneumonia, the Bee Gees icon has slipped into a coma.

According to sources close to the 62-year-old, his family has all gathered by his bedside, as he is only expected to live a few more days.

Robin Gibb Hospitalized

Robin Gibb Hospital

It seems like there have been a lot of celebrity hospitalizations these past few weeks, and now, unfortunately, we have to add Robin Gibb to that list.

Robin has been hospitalized and has to undergo intestinal surgery.

Sadly, the Bee Gee has been fighting an illness — and hopefully this surgery will help — and has been forced to cancel a number of commitments.

We don't know the nature of the illness, but it has been said he's been recovering well. This obviously is a sign for the contrary.

We hope you get well soon, Robin!

Robin Gibb Back In The Hospital For Liver Cancer Treatment

Robin gibb cancer treatment continues

Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb is back in the hospital to continue chemotherapy treatment for his liver cancer.

He checked into the London Clinic last Wednesday and sources say doctors have been "astounded at his response to treatment."

That's such good news! He must not be in too bad of shape because not only was he recently quoted as saying he "feels fantastic," but he performed at a benefit concert on February 13th.

Let's hope his body continues to respond favorably to the chemo so he can beat this disease!

Good luck with the rest of your treatment, Robin!
