Lorde & Joan Jett Join Nirvana For Emotional Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Performances! Watch Them HERE!
The day has finally come. Nirvana, one of the most influential bands in music history has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The momentous occasion comes almost exactly twenty years after lead singer Kurt Cobain’s death, whose memory was ever present at the ceremony in Brooklyn last night.
Joining the band for four emotional performances were four immensely talented ladies - Lorde, Joan Jett, Sonic Youth vocalist Kim Gordon and St. Vincent.
Each one stepped up to the mic to sing one of Nirvana’s now classic songs. 17-year-old Lorde channeled her inner ennui for a cover of All Apologies. Jett of course had to show she’s still very much a rock star with a rousing rendition of Smells Like Teen Spirit.
St. Vincent performed Lithium while Gordon took on Aneurysm.
Just a truly amazing night for music.
Ch-ch-check out the performances (below)!
