And by that, we mean keep a journal or something so when you get out, you can hawk a book about losing a almost a decade and half of your life for being greedy.

Rod R. Blagojevich, the former governor of Illinois, was sentenced on today to 14 years in federal prison for 18 felony corruption convictions. That includes the time he tried to sell/trade President Obama's open Senate seat. The sentence wasn't exactly what the prosecutors were hoping for, but at least he got time to begin with.

A court clerk has announced that the jury in Rod Blagojevich's corruption trial has reached a verdict in 18 of 20 counts against the former Illinois governor.

Blago's jury is expected to announce verdicts on the charges related to public corruption this afternoon.

If we were the judge, we would TOTALLY accept this as a valid excuse!

A potential juror on Rod Blagojevich’s corruption trial has asked to be excused from her duties because she has tickets to a taping of the Oprah Winfrey show on May 10.

Bet the judge has never heard that one before!

As this is the final season, the Assistant U.S. Attorney Reid Schar came to the woman's defense, especially since this tape date might very well end up being the day they film the final episode, which will air on May 25, 2011.

But so far, the judge hasn't been swayed to let the woman free from her civic duty, saying "everybody here knows that this juror will survive” if she doesn’t make it to the show.

Um, we wouldn't! We would be simply DEVASTATED! This is a once and a lifetime opportunity - literally! This will never happen again.

Have a heart, judge! There's like a billion other people to choose from! This woman isn't the one on trial! Do the right thing!

Looks like the former Governor of Illinois is in luck!

Rod Blagojevich was convicted of giving false information to feds, but he got away with 23 other charges due to a Hung Jury!

The Jurors were in deliberation for 14 days, but they just couldn't come together to convict him on the major corruption charges. Good for you douchebag Blago, good for you!

Blago's more serious charges included racketeering, wire fraud, attempted extortion, and bribery.

Bribery, eh? We HOPE you didn't bribe any members of that jury, Blago. We really hope not.

Wow!

The jurors in the corruption trial of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich sent a note to the judge that they might be deadlocked on some counts.

The jury is asking for guidance if they can't reach a unanimous decision even though they have made "a reasonable attempt."

The judge will be sending a note back to ask for clarification on which counts they are undecided on.

They are on the 11th day of trying to reach a verdict.

Blago pleaded not guilty to 24 accounts, including charges of trying to sell or trade President Barack Obama's Senate seat.
