NFL Caves To Trump, Will Now FINE Teams & DISCIPLINE Players Who Kneel During Anthem!

no title

The NFL has chosen a side — and it's against peaceful protest, free speech, and Black Lives Matter.

At the league's spring meeting in Atlanta on Wednesday, commissioner Roger Goodell announced the team owners had approved a new policy against kneeling during the National Anthem.

The new policy statement released to the public finds it "unfortunate" that protests "created a false perception among many that thousands of NFL players were unpatriotic." (No, Donald Trump did that by hammering the public with his rhetoric that protest is un-American — when in fact the opposite is true.)

The draconian terms it set sent a very clear message: DO NOT PROTEST ON CAMERA:

- all personnel must stand for the anthem or their team will be fined
- players can remain in the locker room if they don't wish to stand
- personnel who are seen not standing will face "appropriate discipline"

Colin Kaepernick Files Grievance Against NFL Owners For Collusion To Keep Him From Playing!

Colin Kaepernick will not stand for this!

The former San Francisco 49ers player has filed a grievance against NFL owners, claiming they colluded to keep him from playing this season.

According to a court filing obtained by ABC News, the athlete's agent has reached out to all 32 teams in the league to note his availability, but apparently has been avoided like the plague!

The 29-year-old, who hired attorney Mark Geragos instead of going through the NFL Players Association, believes his unemployment stems from his National Anthem protest last season, which led to Kaepernick severing his contract with the 49ers in March.

While the free-agent QB isn't in the league this season, his presence has taken over — players all across the NFL have been kneeling before games, sparking criticism from fans and controversy maven President Trump.

Despite the uprising he caused, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell denied in June that Kaepernick had been blackballed by owners. Instead, the commissioner postulated that Kap wasn't picked up by a team because there are more talented players out there!

Steph Curry Thinks Colin Kaepernick Should've Been 'Front And Center' On Sports Illustrated's Panned 'Sports United' Cover!

You don't have to tell Stephen Curry who's missing in the latest Sports Illustrated cover.

The Golden State Warriors point guard was displayed front and center on the mag's "Sports United" issue, which features 10 sports figures linking arms in a digitally-created cover.

The cover, which showed Curry arm-in-arm with LeBron James and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, comes a week after the NBA star had his invitation to the White House rescinded by Donald Trump.

But if you ask Curry, SI made a huge mistake by omitting one athlete from the group: former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who kicked off the National Anthem protest last year way before it became a nationwide issue.

Echoing the sentiments of social media, Curry finds it "terrible" that the mag didn't feature the OG kneeler in an issue that's supposedly all about social justice in sports.

In an interview recorded by ESPN NBA reporter Chris Haynes, Curry said:

Tom Brady’s #Deflategate Appeal Was Rejected — Here's What That Means For The Upcoming Season!

In the last year and a half, Tom Brady's neverending #Deflategate scandal has been a roller coaster of emotion for the QB and his fans — and things just took a turn downhill!

After Brady seemingly won the case back in September, the NFL decided to appeal the decision — and it worked! The court decided league commissioner Roger Goodell was within his power when he suspended the New England Patriots star after all.

So Tom tried again to avoid any punishment by asking that the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals hear his case and unfortunately for the athlete, on Wednesday he was DENIED!

The decision seems like it will be the end of the road for Brady's fight against the NFL as his last hope is to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court which is VERY unlikely to succeed. In fact, ESPN legal analyst Roger Cossack said

If you remember around this time last year, Tom Brady was suspended for four NFL games due to the whole "deflategate" thing.

Despite winning his original case, the New England Patriots quarterback is facing his suspension once again, as the league decided to appeal the original court decision!

On Monday, a federal appeals court, made up of a three-judge panel, officially ruled that the Pats player WILL have to serve the four-game suspension that was originally handed out by the league. This of course overturns a lower judge's decision that originally sided with Brady.

In speaking about the ruling and the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, the appeals court said:

Tom Brady's 'Deflategate' Innocence Proved By 7th Grader's Science Project?? See The Proof!

Even though Tom Brady came out on top of the whole "deflategate" fiasco, apparently the whole thing could have been avoided if the NFL would have just turned to Ben Goodell!

The seventh grader may have just proved the quarterback's innocence with a science project!

Ben, who is in no way related to the league's commissioner Roger Goodell, did a science project at St. Pius V School in Lynn, Massachusetts on how weather effects the PSI of an NFL football.

Goodell, who was not a fan of the league's ruling against Brady and "didn't think it was fair" took an official NFL ball and put it through several weather conditions for a couple of hours.
