We're just gonna warn you — this is really heavy.
One of the NFL's starting linebackers for the Kansas City Chiefs, Jovan Belcher, has died in a horrific murder-suicide.
After shooting his girlfriend "several times" around 7:50am Saturday — in front of her own mother — the four-year NFL vet drove to his team's practice facility and killed himself with team officials present to witness.
He was only twenty-five years old.
The girlfriend's mother had called the police, but by the time they arrived, Jovan was already at the practice facility with Chiefs Coach Romeo Crennel and General Manager Scott Pioli trying to talk him out of it.
He committed suicide as soon as the cops arrived.
Though he and his girlfriend had reportedly engaged in multiple arguments recently, no other details have been provided behind the motive.
Words can't even begin to express the sorrow we feel for both parties' family and friends. Our thoughts are with them all right now.
