Rihanna has already been told by doctors to ease up on her hectic schedule after laryngitis forced her to cancel two concerts! Well now her pops, Ronald Fenty, is also giving her a stern talking to and saying she needs to take a time out!

Even though Rihanna's dad, Ronald Fenty, was baffled by Chris Brown's "not guilty" plea to two counts of felony assault back in 2009, he totally supports her decision to get back together with him.

Her estranged father — who permanently damaged his relationship with the singer by exploiting it for paid interviews — has told sources that Brown "should be forgiven" and explained:

This is truly so, so sad.

Rihanna recently gave a heartbreaking, tearful interview in which she revealed that she no longer has a relationship with her father, Ronald Fenty, because he has repeatedly exploited his relationship with his own daughter to ca$h in on her fame, by speaking out and selling photos of her to various media outlets!

She explains:

“It really makes me question what I have become to my father. Like, what do I even mean to him? It’s really strange. That’s the only word I can think of to describe it, because you grow up with your father, you know him, you are a part of him, for goodness’ sakes! And then he does something so bizarre that I can’t begin to wrap my mind around it. You hear the horror stories about people going behind people’s backs and doing strange things, but you always think, 'Not my family. My father would never do that to me.' [After being assaulted by Chris Brown] That was the first time. My dad went to the press and just told them a bunch of lies. Because he hadn’t talked to me after…that whole thing….he never called to find out how I was doing, if I was alive, nothing. He just never called. He went straight to the press and got a check. And now he does it again. Now I’m like, 'Whatever, I tried.'”

Unbelievable. And she really captures exactly why that kind of behavior from someone's own parent is so deplorable!

Poor thing. He should be absolutely ashamed of himself for treating his child like that - and after everything she went through!

Just remember how far you've come, gurl, and as sad as it is, keep yourself surrounded by the people you can actually count on, not the people that you SHOULD be able to count on!
