LOLz!!

So Ronda Rousey is awesome, and she is actually a contributor here for us at FitPerez.com once in a while!

She's beautiful, she's jacked, and she's smart as a whip — completely intimidating, but as you can see from this interview… super sweet, too!

She'll be defending her Strikeforce women's bantamweight title for the first time next week, and that's big news for the "Arm Collector" (which might be the coolest nickname ever!).

Check out her time with Conan (above) — and learn all about why they call her that!

Are you an addict?

How often do you think about food? How often do you use it to reward yourself?

Do you find yourself rationalizing food (like: oh I'll eat this now and work it off later!) Justifying? (I worked all day, my boss is a jerk, I'm not dating anyone and I deserve a one night affair with ben & jerry!) Minimizing? ("Oh I'll just eat a chocolate croissant for breakfast, skip lunch, and have a salad for dinner" - suuuuure you are….)

These are all symptoms of addiction, and

QuickFit Tip Of The Day

Take your little dog on an actual walk. It’s probably tired of being in your purse anyhow… every little bit counts, so add it all up! I like to challenge myself to try to get a mini workout in no matter what I am doing. How will you make the most of your errands today? It is called "running" errands people (not walking them!) Have a great day!

When you are at the mall, park far away from that favorite store of yours having the blowout sale of all blowout sales and get a good brisk walk in! Take the stairs every chance you can, beyond being good for you, it really does make you look cool and fit and popular to those passing by you.

Ronda Rousey: Mixing It Up!

I’ve been an athlete my entire life, (I was the youngest Olympic competitor at the 2004 Olympics), but it took me years to realize that one of my biggest obstacles in training was monotony. If you don’t like what you are doing to get in shape, you’ll start dreading it more and more! Working out becomes torture, you start to associate working out with misery and want to eat more to make yourself feel better or “reward yourself” for toughing it out. I never repeat the same workout twice in the same week (and I have around 15 training session a week!). Yeah, I know it’s hard to coordinate a complicated training schedule with everything else in life. And yes, it’s easy and comfortable to walk into a gym, jump on an elliptical and bounce up and down singing to Lady Gaga everyday and call that “working out,” but even if you just sprint 15 seconds of every minute on the elliptical instead of just spacing out and staring at the food channel (which is inexplicably available at almost every gym) and jogging at a constant pace makes a big difference.
