Rosie O'Donnell, Trevor Noah, & Countless Others React To Donald Trump's Missile Attack On Syria

celebs react to syria airstrike

Celebrities are outraged by Donald Trump's military strike on Syria.

As you surely know, POTUS announced on Thursday that the U.S. had launched an airstrike, including 59 Tomahawk missiles, on Syria. While at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, the Commander-In-Chief told reporters he had approved a "targeted military strike" on an airfield in the Western Asian country.

This military move made by the U.S. comes only a handful of days after a chemical attack was launched on civilians from the same targeted airfield. On his controversial decision, the Trumpster defended:

"It is in this vital national security interest of the United States to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons."

Obviously, upon learning about the attack, countless celebrities flocked to Twitter to express their thoughts on the situation. In fact, Kerry Washington, Lena Dunham, Rosie O'Donnell, and so many others made sure to voice their opinions (below).

Rosie O'Donnell, Chelsea Clinton, & More React To Donald Trump's New Immigration Order!

Donald Trump's new executive order may cast a slightly smaller net on refugees, but that doesn't mean #MuslimBan2 is any more constitutional than its predecessor.

The president signed the new policy on Monday, which now bans Syrian refugees for 120 days, instead of indefinitely, and no longer affects those with visas.

But despite a few changes to make the travel ban less chaotic, a number of celebrities are still calling POTUS out for his discriminatory policy!

George Takei voiced his concerns on Twitter, pointing out that the new ban, which will go into effect 10 days from now, still excludes countries where Trump does business.

The Star Trek alum also suspected Trump's fragile ego was hurt after his first ban was blocked by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Of course, Takei was far from the only star to comment on the subject. Pamela Anderson retweeted a post from the American Civil Liberties Union's account, which wrote that "The new Muslim ban is still a Muslim ban."

Other celebs were a bit more pointed with their tweets. See responses from Chelsea Clinton, Rosie O'Donnell, and more (below)!

Well, now we're just gonna be upset if this doesn't actually happen!

Earlier this week, Rosie O'Donnell nominated herself to play Donald Trump's key advisor Steve Bannon on Saturday Night Live, creating the best casting opportunity since Tina Fey as Sarah Palin.

Rosie's casting suggestion followed the President's disapproval over his press secretary Sean Spicer being played by Melissa McCarthy — a "woman"! — last week.

It's still unknown whether the NBC comedy series has considered casting Trump's longtime nemesis as his current White House puppet master, but Rosie is certainly making it hard to say no!

This would be the best casting of all time!!

Saturday Night Live has brought some serious star power to portray Donald Trump's living political cartoon of an administration.

And after Trump was reportedly "rattled" over McCarthy's portrayal of the White House gum aficionado, an all-too-perfect casting opportunity presented itself for the next high-profile role: Rosie O'Donnell as Steve Bannon!!
