We have a royal cute-off, people!!
Earlier today, Prince George was christened at St. James Palace and it was one of the most adorable shindigs of all time!
In fact, his doting daddy, Prince William, knows all too well how important this day is to the royal family. Back in 1982, he too was christened with his parents, Princess Diana and Prince Charles (above right), although the event was a much larger affair that was held in the Music Room at Buckingham Palace.
William decided to do things a little differently as he himself chose to have George christened in the Chapel Room of the St. James Palace. It holds a special place in his heart as his mother’s body was kept in the same room before her funeral in 1997.
While Wills was dressed in the traditional lace and satin robe made for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, Prince George was given a replicate gown since the original is no longer in use.
But, we can't help but notice just how shockingly similar that day, 31 years ago, was to George's christening this Wednesday.
Even the GIFs alone give us a peek into how much hasn't changed in three decades!
Check out ALL the similarities AFTER THE JUMP!!!
