This situation only gets messier and messier.
Most recently, the Tik Tok artist claimed he wasn't allowing her to release new music despite handing over twenty new songs!
In response, Luke has decided to claim to a New York judge that Kesha has actually failed to pay him over a million dollars in royalties. On Monday, his legal team, Christine Lepera and Jeffrey Movit, presented more details of their contract:
"Plaintiffs have paid Kesha her royalties for all relevant accounting periods, while Kesha baselessly refuses to pay Plaintiffs the much larger sums she owes them. In December 2016 alone, Defendant received payments under her contracts with Plaintiffs in excess of $650,000. In sharp contrast, Defendant admits that she owes Plaintiff KMI over $1.3 million in ancillary royalties that she has failed to pay."
While the 29-year-old isn't making new music, she did agree to pay his company, Kasz Money, 10 percent of her net receipts anytime someone uses her name or likeness. She also has to pay him "the greater of 10 percent of her net tour receipts or 5 percent of adjusted gross tour receipts".
And if you count her Coachella appearance last year, the singer apparently has yet to do so.
Luke's team also claims he has in no way interfered with Kesha recording new music:
