Dr. Luke Thinks Kesha Cost Him $50 MILLION Now?! And How Much From Katy Perry??!

no title

UPDATE 4:47 P.M. EST: The lawyers behind Dr. Luke (AKA Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald) have released the following statement:

"Kesha's false accusations have caused tremendous damage to Dr. Luke, his family and his businesses. Kesha's recent court filing misstates and misrepresents an expert accountant's calculations of certain revenue that Mr. Gottwald has lost as a result of Kesha's false accusations. The ultimate amount of Dr. Luke's damages is for a jury to decide."

We'll continue to keep you updated.

The ongoing legal battle between Kesha and Dr. Luke just ballooned into BIG numbers!

In legal docs obtained by The Blast, the producer is now claiming a whopping $50 million in damages from the singer who accused him of abuse.

Dr. Luke says he would have made $29.9 million in royalties and $8.7 million from co-writing fees if Kesha hadn't made her claims.

He also included $10.2 mil from his potential future work with Katy Perry, who kicked him to the curb before making Witness.

Um, is that legally Kesha's fault though? Katy easily could have made her own decision after listening to someone else's story, right? Like, say, Kelly Clarkson, who says she willingly left millions of dollars on the table just to avoid him?

Kesha herself filed a similar legal response; she argued those inflated numbers are based on his past years of hits with top performers, whom she says he should not have expected to be able to get.

We'll just have to see how the court rules.

Dr. Luke Says Kesha Still Owes Him Money — $1.3 Million To Be Exact!

The drama is far from over.

This situation only gets messier and messier.

As we previously reported, Kesha and Dr. Luke AKA Lukasz Gottwald went head-to-head with new court documents in the music producer's defamation lawsuit against the songstress.

Most recently, the Tik Tok artist claimed he wasn't allowing her to release new music despite handing over twenty new songs!

In response, Luke has decided to claim to a New York judge that Kesha has actually failed to pay him over a million dollars in royalties. On Monday, his legal team, Christine Lepera and Jeffrey Movit, presented more details of their contract:

"Plaintiffs have paid Kesha her royalties for all relevant accounting periods, while Kesha baselessly refuses to pay Plaintiffs the much larger sums she owes them. In December 2016 alone, Defendant received payments under her contracts with Plaintiffs in excess of $650,000. In sharp contrast, Defendant admits that she owes Plaintiff KMI over $1.3 million in ancillary royalties that she has failed to pay."

While the 29-year-old isn't making new music, she did agree to pay his company, Kasz Money, 10 percent of her net receipts anytime someone uses her name or likeness. She also has to pay him "the greater of 10 percent of her net tour receipts or 5 percent of adjusted gross tour receipts".

And if you count her Coachella appearance last year, the singer apparently has yet to do so.

Luke's team also claims he has in no way interfered with Kesha recording new music:

It seems like an eternity since Sisqo topped the charts with his classic track Thong Song – but the singer is still trying to cash in on his past success!

The 36-year-old has filed a $3.6 million lawsuit in which he alleges he was not paid the proper royalties he was due for the 1999 megahit!

Sisqo says that he hired 27 Red Music to collect royalties from several different music publishing companies for all his work released between 1996 and 2005 (so… pretty much the Thong Song? LOLz!).

The performer claims that the company succeeded in collecting the cash, but failed to give him about $600,000 it received on his behalf.

But that's not all — the hitmaker is also demanding an additional $3 million in punitive damages!

Yikes, that's a lot of cash for a song that came out over 15 years ago! Do YOU think Sisqo has a strong case?
