As more and more horrible stories about the dangerous and violent side effects of bath salts keep popping up, we're learning more about just how potent and manipulative this drug can be.

While toxicology reports only detected marijuana in Rudy Eugene's lifeless body, we know it's HIGHly unlikely for weed to induce cannibalism cravings.

Many believe today's tests just aren't sophisticated enough to detect certain synthetic drugs like bath salts.

The now infamous incident featuring a seemingly super-strength, drugged-out Rudy Eugene eating another man's face and flesh in Florida was apparently NOT caused by Bath Salts!

WHAT?!

According to toxicology reports, the only questionable substance found in Mr. Eugene's body was marijuana, which is pretty unlikely to make someone suddenly crave human meat…

We're SO happy to report that Ronald Poppo, the homeless man who was viciously attacked by a naked man believed to have been on "bath salts," is recovering well in Jackson Memorial Hospital.

During the bizarre attack, Rudy Eugene chewed off most of Ronald's face, eyes and nose. It's even believed that Ronald may have accidentally been shot by an officer targeting Rudy.

Miraculously enough, the 65-year-old homeless man is doing well now. He's talking. He's walking. And he's eating.

Bad things really do happen to good people. It's just a sad fact of life.

Rudy Eugene, a man who is more famously known as the Miami "Cannibal" or "Zombie", wasn't always interested in eating human flesh. In fact, he was very spiritual and attended bible study just TWO DAYS before stripping down and viscously attacking Ronald Edward Poppo.

His friends described him as a devout Christian who would frequently send inspirational religious messages through texts or social networking sites.

Unfortunately, his faith couldn't stop whatever powerful drug took over his mind once it entered his system and Poppo is now fighting for his life as a result.

As we've reported, a man named Rudy Eugene was shot dead by authorities when he was was discovered chewing the flesh off of homeless man Ronald Poppo this past weekend. It turns out that The Miami Herald captured the horrific 18-minute attack on a surveillance camera!

We still can't get over how sickeningly tragic this whole thing is.

And with more and more coming out, it only gets worse.

We reported earlier on Rudy Eugene, the Miami man who was shot dead by police when he discovered naked and eating the face off of another person, and sadly, we now know the victim to be 65-year-old Ronald Poppo, a homeless man who is now fighting for his life at Jackson Memorial Hospital with nothing but his lips, beard, and chin left.

More bizarre, however, is the information slowly coming out about the 31-year-old perpetrator, a majority of which is from his former classmates at North Miami Beach High School, who knew him as an "easy-going" young man who stayed out of trouble until he later began experimenting with drugs.

A Miami man, now identified as 31-year-old Rudy Eugene, was shot dead by police Saturday when he was discovered naked on the MacArthur Causeway CHEWING the flesh off of another unidentified man, who is now in critical condition in the hospital and missing 80% of his face, nose, and mouth!

And if that isn't scary and horrifying enough, it only gets more worse.

According to eye-witness reports, a police officer commanded him to stop, and when he didn't, authorities open-fired. And according to Larry Vega, who was present at the time:
