Johnny Depp strolled on up to San Francisco to do a little Q&A screening of The Rum Diary.
There, he mesmerized fans with his presence and even stuck around after to play with his band at Shattuck Down Low, during an after party put together by Sailor Jerry Rum.
Free rum all the way around! No, really! All attendess at his band's shindig got some free drinks for partying with Depp.

In Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Johnny Depp's character Jack Sparrow posed the question "why is the rum gone?"
Many people had been posing a similar question about Depp's film The Rum Diary, which has been finished for almost two years…but now it has finally gotten a release date!
The film adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's The Rum Diary will be released in theaters on Oct 28, 2011.
In the meanwhile, those of us who need to see Johnny Depp taking on a strange character in film can re-watch Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas…or pretty much EVERY film he's ever made. Ha!

Victoria's Secret model Marisa Miller has new job hawking rum as Captain Morgan's First Mate.
We're not sure what that means, but if we had to guess it's just an excuse to have a hot model in their ads.
