To run that far… only to mess it all up at the end!

Poor Molly Huddle was running for the American track team at the World Athletics Championship in Beijing, China on Monday when she made one of the biggest mistakes of her running career.

At the end of the 10,000 meter race, within the final ten meters of an easy third place finish and a bronze medal soon to be around her neck, Huddle slowed up just slightly and raised her arms in triumph… only the runner behind her just keep running!

Emily Infeld was in fourth place with just a couple meters to go, and when Huddle raised her arms and slowed down just a bit, Infeld snuck right past her to finish in third, literally in the final step of the entire long, difficult race!

Ch-ch-check out the emotional moment for both women (below):

Plus-Size Model Breaks Barriers By Scoring Women's Running Magazine Cover

Women's Running puts plus-size model on cover.

Plus-size models are finally getting more recognition from more mainstream publications.

And it's about time!

Women's Running magazine is the latest to celebrate curvier figures with their August cover of model Erica Jean Schenk.

The 18-year-old did the shoot for the issue without knowing that she'd ultimately end up on the cover, saying:

"I had no idea I was going to be on the cover! I was told afterwards that I would be on the cover. I was initially stunned. I thought it would be a big deal but it turned out to be a MUCH bigger deal than I thought it would be!"

And she's extremely proud of the image itself:

"I love how the image shows a thick-thighed woman who is proud of her body. I'm not wearing loose-fitting clothes, to say the least. At first it made me a bit uncomfortable but then I had to realize I can't help other women accept who they are without doing the same for myself."

She's also happy that the front page might help other women feel better about themselves:

"I'm over the moon that all these people see me and can relate. I hope I make an impact in women's body acceptance. I've had so much positive feedback. I can feel the masses begging for more. They want to be able to relate to the struggles, success, and celebration of people just like them."

We wish you even more success in the future, girl!

Chris Mosier Just Made History As The First Transgender Athlete To Make Their Identified Gender's USA National Team!

Chris Mosier just made history!

That's because after landing a spot on the USA National Duathlon Team on Saturday, Chris became the first transgender athlete to make it onto the team of the gender they identify; as opposed to the gender assigned when they were born.

The 35-year-old finished 37th out of 117 competitors, but only needed to be one of the top eight times for men aged 35-38 to make the team… and he did!

By the way, for those of you who are a little confused as to what a Duathalon is, it's a sporting event similar to a triathlon only it consists of running, cycling, and then another leg of running.

We think it's a little ridiculous that this is only the first time something like this has ever happened, but we're glad Chris has now opened the door for his fellow trans athletes.

Chris and the rest of the USA Team will next compete at the 2016 World Championship Duathalon in Spain, so that just means he's got a little more time to train even harder.

Congrats again, Chris!

Now go win us the gold!
