Goodbye Running Wilde, Hello Untitled Will Arnett/Christina Applegate Pilot!

will arnett and christina applegate to star in nbc pilot

It's the circle of sitcom life!

Back in December, we were sad to report that Will Arnett's Running Wilde had been cut from Fox's schedule. We didn't think it was a phenomenal show, but as we said then, we would have liked to see it find its footing and grow into itself.

Fortunately, those of us who need more Will Arnett in our lives are in luck!

Aside from marathon-watching HIGHlarious Arrested Development episodes on DVD, Arnett fans will soon see the actor return to TV in a currently untitled NBC comedy pilot with Christina Applegate, which we mentioned earlier this month.

The Lorne Michaels-produced pilot will offer "an irreverent look at parenthood through the eyes of an acerbic working mother (Applegate) and her stay-at-home husband, as well as other opinionated parents."

SNL fans who have been yearning for a Maya Rudolph fix will be happy to know that she'll also be starring in the show as "Applegate's coworker and BFF."

We hope this one is good! We'd absolutely love to see things work out for Arnett and Applegate!

Will U check out this show when it hits the air?

Bad News For Running Wilde!

remaining-episodes-of-running-wilde-cut-from-schedule

The prognosis does not look good!

As the Will Arnett/Keri Russell comedy Running Wilde continues to sink away without a trace, FOX has pulled the plug on airing any more of the series' original episodes, and will instead fill their upcoming December 19th, 26th, and 28th spots with re-runs of The Simpsons and The Cleveland Show!

No word on when the five remaining unaired episodes will see the light of day, if they will at all!

Too bad! The show was kind of lame, but we would have liked to see it find its footing and grow into itself!

It definitely had potential!

Thoughts?? Are U sad to see Running Wilde go??

Will Arnett Supports Twitter Petition To Save Running Wilde

will arnett supports petition to save running wilde

Although Fox's Running Wilde may be cancelled, the show's stars are turning to Twitter to save the low rated series.

Fans, who love Will Arnett as an egocentric billionaire who tries to win back his high school sweetheart, started the petition and the actor supports the efforts 100 percent.

Arnett Tweeted:

"Never done a grassroots effort, but let's save the effing show Running Wilde forever! Or five decent seasons, plus a 6th for Two And A Half Men $$ [money].

Thanks to everyone who signed the petition … f**king ratings sucked … I guess America hates jokes?"

The network ordered 13 episodes of the show, but due to declining ratings, Fox will air back-to-back episodes of Raising Hope instead of showing another episode of Running Wilde.

Ouch! Lots of luck.

Arrested Development Movie Back On! And It Sounds Like For Real This Time!

cd10_smjb.jpg

One minute it's on, one minute it's off - don't they understand how painful it is to keep toying with our emotions like this?!

Ever since Arrested Development was pulled prematurely from television - and our hearts - years back, there's been talk of the series being turned into a movie. Unfortunately, whenever progress seems to be made in the development process, it hits a snag, and our dreams our crushed!

However, we've gotten word from actor Will Arnett as well as series creator Mitch Hurwitz that may bring a glimmer of hope back into our souls - the movie is back on!

Arnett says:

"As Mitch likes to say, we're just going to wait until there's zero interest, and that's when we'll do it."

And Hurwitz elaborates:

"Believe it or not, we have started the script. We're taking a little abeyance while we get ['Running Wilde'] up and running. But it is our absolute next priority and we can't wait to do it. We're changing some of the Bush references to Obama because we started it awhile ago. And the Bluths may not be vacationing in the Gulf of Mexico anymore. We also might have to recast the part of Uncle Mel, the former action movie star. But other than that we have a clear path. Believe it or not, I do not enjoy teasing our wonderful and devoted audience, which is one reason it appears that I've been so cagey about this. It's just that I don't want to promise what I can't deliver."

All is forgiven, bb! As long as you don't turn around in three weeks and say the movie is off again! Then we're going to have to bring a new daddy to town - a discipline daddy! LOLs!

That being said, we remain cautiously optimistic ecstatic!

We've missed the Bluths far too much! Never leave us again!

What do U think?? Are U convinced that the movie will happen this time???

Cool!

Will Arnett's single-camera comedy Running Wilde that he writes and stars in has been picked up for next season on Fox!

Arnett plays a rich guy who wasted his life and Keri Russell plays a woman from his past who tries to help him.

Sounds promising — we like both of them!

Will U be watching?
