As we previously mentioned, Rupert Grint was going to get to carry the Olympic torch through Middlesex University.

He apparently had to fight off fans the entire way down, swinging the torch like a flaming club!

Okay, that's not true, but he did have to fight off fans the whole leg of his run.

Which was more of a downhill walk, which worked out perfectly seeing as how he's not much of a runner.

He said:

"Running is kind of a new thing for me. I don't usually run for anything, but it was all downhill so I was OK. I didn't really know what to expect, it was all a bit of a blur. I'm just so proud to be a part of it. It's amazing to see everyone so excited and really geared up for this."

We bet it must've been absolutely ahmayzing and so surreal to carry the Olympic torch for his country!

David Beckham might not be lighting the Olympic flame, but Rupert Grint gets to carry the torch headed for it!

Rupert revealed this while promoting his new film CBGB today!

What he DIDN'T reveal was the date, time, and location for Grint’s journey.

It'll be soon, because the Olympics are coming FAST!
