Ruth Madoff has been through SO much.

During a new interview with CBS Evening News, Bernie Madoff's wife Ruth admits to the world that she and her husband tried to kill themselves after the ponzi scheme was revealed.

What a terrible situation!

Ruth Madoff is reportedly blaming her husband, Bernie, for their son Mark's suicide.

Here's what Madoff biographer Jerry Oppenheimer had to say about it on The Today Show:

"She claims that Bernie Madoff has blood on his hands. She calls him an SOB … that he's totally ruined his family, and the death of their son was the final straw."

Oppenheimer has also said that Ruth feels that Mark "would not have died if it weren't for what [Bernie] had done."

And more from Oppenheimer:

"Her wrath is aimed at her husband."

We definitely feel for Ruth! Such an awful tragedy!

Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff's old possessions turned out to be a huge success at the U.S. Marshal auction on Saturday.

The big ticket item of the day was wife Ruth Madoff's 10.5 carat diamond ring that sold for $550K.

What a steal!

Another item that fetched a pretty penny were a pair of velveteen slippers with Bernie's initials embroidered on them in gold thread. They went for $6000.

The strangest purchase by far had to be 11 pairs of unused designer boxers and 200 pairs of socks, which were purchased by the same man for $1,700.

Kinda creepy, even if they are new.

At the end of the day the auction brought in over $2 million, which will benefit Madoff's victims.
