Ryan O'Neal Pulls Out Of TV Appearance Due To Health

ryan-oneal-cancels-tv-apperance.jpg

As we previously mentioned, Ryan O'Neal has stage two prostate cancer.

He apparently has the disease "under control," saying:

"I have it under control. I wasn’t prepared for it. I wasn’t ready for it. But you never are. I just sort of chalked it up, you know, to bad luck."

Now his level of control is coming into question as he has just recently pulled out of a TV appearance at the last minute.

He was going to go on the Today show and chat with Matt Lauer about his former relationship with Farrah Fawcett.

When the cancellation came though, Lauer told viewers:

"We are sad to say Mr. O'Neal showed up here this morning… he was not feeling well. He has since gone back to his hotel and we are told he is canceling all of his appearances for today. We hope he is all right, and we hope to see him tomorrow morning, here on Today."

We hope he's okay!

Maybe he's just not feeling 100% at the moment but he'll be back on his feet tomorrow.

We wish him nothing but a speedy recovery.

Ryan O'Neal Battles Cancer AND A Paternity Suit!

Filed under: Legal MattersHealthFamilyBaby Momma Drama

Ryan O'Neal is taking a paternity test while dealing with cancer

It's been a tough year for living Hollywood legend, Ryan O'Neal!

His daughter, Tatum O'Neal, refuses to speak to him, he is being treated for stage 2 Cancer, AND NOW, the 70-year-old actor has been accused of fathering a love child!

Jessica Zellars claims that she got knocked up after a “brief romantic relationship" with Ryan — and he says it's total BS!

O'Neal's rep says that Ryan doesn't even know this woman, and if she IS pregnant:

"This will be the first time a woman got pregnant without having sex or in-vitro."

To prove he is not the father, Ryan is going on Maury to take a paternity test, later today.

Hopefully, by tomorrow we'll have this whole issue settled, and Mr. O'Neal can focus all his energy on recovering from Cancer!!

Ryan O'Neal Has Stage 2 Cancer 'Under Control'

ryan-oneal-only-has-stage-2-cancer.jpg

Ryan O'Neal has opened up in an interview to Nightline and cleared the air on a few things.

He does in fact have only stage 2, not stage 4, prostate cancer.

It is "contained" and he plans on fighting it.

O'Neal said:

"I have it under control. I wasn’t prepared for it. I wasn’t ready for it. But you never are. I just sort of chalked it up, you know, to bad luck."

He's already had to deal with skin cancer when he had a melanoma on his nose.

He also experienced cancer with his former lover Farrah Fawcett, who died of cancer in 2009.

"Farrah taught me that — about fighting it, fight a good fight."

O'Neal will now move onto the next step in his cancer treatment, cryopathy, where doctors freeze infected tissue to try and stop the spread of cancer.

Seeing as how his cancer is only stage 2 and locally contained, hopefully this procedure works.

We wish Ryan nothing but the best and a speedy, full recovery.

Ryan O'Neal's Cancer Is Worse Than He Said

Ryan Oneal Not Good

Honestly, we all want Ryan O'Neal to be healthy and happy.

It's just when he told us that he had stage 4 prostate cancer, and that it was highly treatable, we weren't so sure about that. Any cancer in stage 4, we feel, wouldn't be highly treatable. But we hoped for the best anyway, thinking maybe his might be a different situation.

According to a friend of his, it isn't. Here's what the friend said:

"[It has spread to his] bones, and other areas of his body. Ryan has been told that the odds of him being alive in five years are very bleak. Most men that are diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer rarely make it to three years. Ryan's overall prognosis is very grim. Ryan will most likely begin to suffer from excruciating bone pain, and will need to be treated aggressively with the proper medication when it gets to that point. Ryan's cancer sadly isn't curable, but his symptoms will be treated. He could choose to undergo chemotherapy if the cancer continues to grow and spread."

That's very detailed, and very hard to read.

All we can do is hope that this friend isn't 100% up to date with what Ryan said, and that the treatments work.

We're pulling for you, Ryan!
