Do you REALLY feel the need to ruin the integrity of these classic/hit films, Miramax and Weinsteins? You're both better than this
or so we thought.
The Weinstein Company and Miramax have announced a major partnership to create sequels for classic/hit films that the Weinsteins made with Miramax before they parted ways.
Films that are being prepped for
unnecessary sequels include Shakespeare In Love, Bad Santa, Swingers, Rounders, and Bridget Jones's Diary again.
Here's what the Weinsteins said about this deal in a statement:
"We are very close to these films and the new management of Miramax also feels that we are in the best position to create sequels that are at once worthy and compelling in their own right."
If you want to mess with Bad Santa or Rounders…fine…but Shakespeare in Love and Swingers are classics!
…And you should know better than to make ANOTHER sequel to Bridget Jones's Diary. We seriously don't need it.
