And took a pay cut!
Reggie Bush has been traded from the New Orleans Saints, where he was set to make $11.8 million this season, to the Miami Dolphins, where he is currently negotiating a 2-year contract for nearly $10 million.
The running back took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the recent trade, tweeting:
"Change is never easy but I look forward to building something special in Miami and can't wait to embark on this new journey!"
"To the city of New Orleans you will always have a place in my heart. … I love you guys you are my family & I will never forget our good times. … I wish the New Orleans Saints the best of luck I will always be a fan! The team, coaches, and fans will be deeply missed!"
The Dolphins begin practice on Friday, but NFL's post-lockout calendar requires Reggie wait until Aug. 4 to join practice.
Sorry to hear about the pay cut, Reggie, but you're still making MILLIONS so we're not too worried about your financial future.
Good luck this season on the Dolphins!
