Sure, Walmart has had a controversial and turbulent history, but they’re finally taking a step in the right direction!!
The largest U.S. private employer is officially extending healthcare benefits to workers’ same-sex partners, and we could not be more thrilled about it!
Due to the retailer’s incredibly large size, many now think that other employers will change their policies as well. Wallace Hopp, a researcher at University of Michigan, has noted:

On a recent segment of Keeping Them Honest, Anderson Cooper brought attention to President Obama’s stance on gay marriage…and VP Biden’s as well.
Vice President Biden spoke out on Sunday on Meet The Press, saying he is “absolutely comfortable” with gays marrying…but that Obama ultimately sets the policy.
This caused some confusion and ultimately, the White House had to refute that Biden's comments were consistent with the President's stance on the issue, which doesn't seem to be the case.
Check out the video (above) of Anderson trying to piece together where the White House stands on the issue of same-sex marriage!
Actions surely speak louder than words.
It’s one thing for Biden to say same-sex couples are entitled to the same rights as straight couples, but there is still no federal recognition!
Can we get a witness?!??

Buddy and Pedro may seem an unlikely match, seeing as they're both male penguins, but they've formed a strong bond anyway.
They even perform mating rituals with each other and sleep together at night.
The problem is that they also happen to be part of an endangered species.
So to ensure the survival of their species, they will be split up and placed with females to mate with.
So even though it's sad, we do understand the importance of keeping these beautiful birds alive and on our planet.
Check out the above video to learn more about the penguins.
