Supreme Court Is Likely To Review Same-Sex Marriage Bans After It's Approved In Four More States!

Part of this is exciting… but for now it's mostly very disappointing.

The Supreme Court is likely going to review the country's laws regarding same-sex marriage, which is a good thing! And that sucks.

Circuit Judge Jeffrey Sutton gave a 42-page opinion, basically stating that marriage is a state issue, not a federal issue. He added that in 1972, the Supreme Court ruled, "[it's the] right of the people of a state to define marriage as they see it."

What a disappointment!

On Tuesday morning, the ban against same-sex marriage in Idaho was struck down, which was obviously GREAT news for many same-sex couples. Unfortunately, this morning, an emergency court order against same-sex marriage was granted in Idaho which means gay marriage will temporarily blocked. Nevada is involved in the whole ordeal because the appeals court decided to consolidate the two appeal cases.
