Eva Longoria has had a passion for the disabled her entire life.
Inspired by her own sister Liza, who was born with developmental disabilities, the successful actress created Eva’s Heroes in 2006.
The nonprofit organization based in San Antonio provides an inclusive environment for individuals with special needs to interact and learn with their peers.
In her latest endeavor to support the mentally handicapped, Eva is appearing alongside a 5-year-old boy with Down syndrome on the cover of the Toys"R"Us Toy Guide for Differently-Abled Kids.
The guide is a resource for parents to find a special selection of everyday toys for kids of all abilities to play with alongside peers in hopes of building critical developmental skills through play.
