The Spurs have a reputation as hiring upstanding players, but after Tony Parker cheated on Eva Longoria a with fellow teammate’s wife, that reputation could be permanently tainted.
According to sources, Parker’s teammates are pretty upset with him. And to make matters even worse, Parker just signed a four-year $50 million extension on his contract last week.
"The Spurs staff is very upset and Pop [Spurs head coach Greg Popovich] would trade him if he didn't just sign that big deal," says the source.
Tami Roman of VH1’s Basketball Wives commented on the whole situation:
"I would say at least 75 percent of the men in the NBA are not faithful to their wives, girlfriends, whatever. To be involved with another teammate's wife, that's just like hand's off! That really is disgusting."
Brent Barry, the teammate whose wife, Erin Barry, partook in the the affair with Parker, sadly learned about the news from media reports, and has taken his kids somewhere in the Midwest until the whole thing blows over.
Ugh, this is such a terrible situation. We can’t imagine how Tony and Brent will ever be able to play on the same team after what’s happened!
