KFC Wants You To Eat Bacon

Mmmm, bacon!

KFC is nefarious when it comes to food creation and how it makes the most abominable sandwiches and meals possible (keeping them very unhealthy but, of course, delicious). So why wouldn't they add a Cheesy Bacon Bowl to their menu??

The best part of the commercial (above), hands down, is when the terrible voice over replies, "No argument here, Rachel," as if they've known each other for years — or that anyone would argue that bacon didn't make things better.

Ridiculous.

So unhealthy.

New Spanish Restaurant Chain Coming To America - In A Big Way!

And it sounds pretty good!

Spanish restaurant chain 100 Montadito's is coming to America FULL FORCE and aims to open 4,000 locations in the next 5 years.

Sources say that number is slightly MORE than Sonic and slightly less than the amount of Dairy Queen's floating around this fast food saturated country of ours.

The restaurant boasts selling "the delights of Mediterranean cuisine at unbeatable prices" and aren't kidding either. Montaditos are 5-inch sandwiches that cost between $1-2.50.

Basically, it's a cheap Spanish version of Quizno's! Ha!

Subway’s new goal: Help avocado go mainstream.

We LOVE this goal! Avocado is great for you, and Subway’s decision to add it to their menu will make it more accessible to people who eat out a lot.

Many west coast Subways have already had avocado on their menu for some time, but the rest of the US will now have access to it.

Subway’s even changing up some of its classics:

– Turkey and bacon avocado sub
– Steak, egg and cheese with avocado for breakfast
– Subway Club with avocado
– BLT with avocado

Subway just got a little more appealing!

Subway Reducing Sodium In Sandwiches

Subway is now the biggest fast-food chain in the world, and they’re trying to become trend-setters.

HEALTHY trend-setters!

Starting now, their “Fresh Fit” sandwich line will have 28% less sodium. The rest of the sandwiches will have their sodium content cut by 15%.

The move comes after politicians and public interest groups have started pushing restaurants to reduce their sodium contents, which contributes to heart disease.

“It’s a huge deal,” says Lanette Kovachi, corporate dietician at Subway. “We’re the biggest in the industry and we’re saying that sodium reduction can be done.”

This is such great news! Hopefully other fast food chains will follow Subway’s lead!
