Little orphan Annie just got her new bestie!

Sunny, a beige mutt and former shelter dog, has been chosen to star as Sandy in Broadway's newest revival of Annie.

What's so special about Sunny? She was set to be euthanized if she wasn't saved!

The new Sandy only had 48 hours to live before she was taken from her Houston shelter to have a crack at the role.

Producer Arielle Tepper tapped renowned trainer Michael Berloni to save Sunny after finding her through online searches.

Now, Sunny will singing and DANCING alongside Lilla Crawford, this fall's Annie.

The two year old Sunny joins the growing list of shelter dogs who have been chosen to play Sandy.

Sunny's understudy, Casey, is also a shelter dog and they will be moving to an Upper West Side apartment to begin their training together.

Moving on up! Wait, sorry that's The Jeffersons…LOLz!

Today's Fan Pets of the Day are Dinah, Dottie, Sandy and Grizzly!

Not only do have cat and dog today, but WOLVES too!

Teddyhilton.com reader Mallory loves her quartet of cuties and we LUV them too!

Dinah is a FIERCE kitty and has been her master's go-to gal pal for the rough times.

Dottie, a Chihuahua, is always with her mama and she's a perfect angel.

And while they are wolves, Sandy and Grizzly are cuddle monsters and they'll gobble you up with kissies!

So touching!

Porky is a dog that was near euthanasia when she jumped into her trustee's arms, almost begging for a second chance.

And she definitely took advantage of it!

Sonjalyn Dickson Rine saw the dog's spunk and sent out a desperate plea to anyone who would listen.

She comments on his decision:

I wrote her plea from the dog's point of view, and I said, ‘Don't you recognize me? I'm Sandy star of stage and screen. I make one wrong turn in Tennessee and ended up in jail.

And who would answer the plea? Broadway animal trainer Bill Berloni!

Berloni made the trip to Porky's temporary home in Columbia, TN, and said he was looking a star.

Soon, Porky will make the trip to New York and if she's liked by the director, she will star as Sandy in Annie!

Probs not a bad idea for Jesse James to take a breather from promoting his book American Outlaw, especially since every time he does an interview he digs himself into deeper and deeper holes!

Check out the photo (above) of Jesse and Kat Von D grabbing some lunch at Milk Cafe in West Hollywood, CA.

Hopefully it was a nice, relaxing afternoon where Jesse DIDN'T run his mouth about Sandy. We'd def like to see more afternoons like that.

Fortunately, the book's been out for a couple of weeks now, so maybe we won't have to hear from him for TOO much longer.

We can only hope…

We do not envy all of you poor people on the East Coast. Have you had one day without snow in the last month?

Yesterday, Sandra Bullock trekked out into the frozen tundra formerly known as Manhattan to run a few errands. Just looking at her rosy cheeks and exposed calves is making us shiver to our core! (Seriously, wear longer pants, bb! Isn't it like 4 degrees there?!)

But hold on! Why is she in New York to begin with? She just bought this place in Texas and now we only see her in Manhattan?

Are you moving already, Sandy? What's up?

We figured as much! But still disappointing!

After it was reported that Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds celebrated New Year's Eve together in Texas, many speculated that the two were heading toward a romance!

However, the actress' representative has released the following statement:

"A group of old friends that included Ryan and Sandra spent New Year's together at Sandra's restaurant Bess Bistro. They all had a great time ringing in the New Year as they have in the past…as nothing more than friends."

Aww! Too bad!

But we are happy to see that these two have each other during such complicated personal times! They clearly mean a lot to each other - even if there's no romance!
