Last we heard from Kate Hudson, she was treated to a celebrity-filled, family-oriented baby shower, hosted by Tobey Maguire's wife Jen Meyer and 90210's Sara Foster at a private home in Malibu.

Now, Kate is continuing to get ready for her new family by purchasing a $5.3 million, 7000 sq ft Pacific Palisades mansion (above, and below) in El Lay with fiance Matt Bellamy.

Here are some features of Kate and Matt's new mansion:

- English-style home built in 1935

- Features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a large kitchen, breakfast area, and library

- Also features a sauna, home gym, and "multiple fire places"

- Decorated with "muted pastel colors with splashes of bright greens and an abundance of florals"

- Some rooms in house feature "ornate chandeliers for subtle soft lighting and beamed ceilings"

Congrats on the new family home, Kate and Matt! Looks like you've found a wonderful place to raise that baby!

What a wonderful way to celebrate such an exciting occasion!

Yesterday afternoon, Kate Hudson was treated to a celebrity-filled, family-oriented baby shower, hosted by Tobey Maguire's wife Jen Meyer and 90210's Sara Foster.

The event took place at a private Malibu home in the same neighborhood where Camille Grammer, Mel Gibson, and Olivia Newton John reside.

Celebs that were in attendance at the event included Courteney Cox, Nicole Richie, and Rachel Zoe. They brought gifts/baby baskets which were gender-neutral colors (yellow & green), and the decorations outside the house featured blue, yellow, and pink ribbons.

"It was a family-friendly party with kids of all ages running around. Nicole Richie was there with her kids and they were having a great time playing outside."

"The best one was where people tried to guess what Kate and Matthew should name the baby. It was hilarious and got a lot of laughs out of everyone! It was such a fun party — and people stayed for hours."
