Alexander McQueen may not have a couture line right now, but there are plenty of signs one could be on the horizon.
Sarah Burton, who is creating five bespoke orders right now, said:
"We do so many collections, and I want each one to be special. There is always a lot done by hand, even for the pre-collection. I know this is not Paris couture, but in our humble way we are working towards it."
The label's incorporation of intricate hand-work is something that could ultimately lead to a couture line since it's a huge part of the company's heritage.
Fingers crossed that McQueen couture isn't too far away!

The honors keep on coming for Sarah Burton!
As if being named Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards last year wasn't enough, the Alexander McQueen creative director is being honored by Queen Elizabeth II!
Burton is set to receive an OBE or Order of the British Empire for her role in designing Kate Middleton's royal wedding gown.
If anyone deserves it, it's Sarah, especially after lying to Anna Wintour.

OMG! Please let this be true!
There are rumors floating around that Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will play a part in the closing ceremonies of the London Olympics! They'll be wearing designs from some of the country's best designers Vivienne Westwood and Sarah Burton.
We're not sure how exactly they'll be involved, but if it is some kind of fashion show, then we'll literally be jumping for joy. YAY!
We're already getting excited for the Olympics, but if this is true, we're even exciteder!

Jessica Alba shut it down at Glamour's Women of the Year Awards.
The Entrepreneur of The Year Award recipient floated down the red carpet in a sexy lace gown from Sarah Burton's Alexander McQueen spring collection.
This frock has a good girl/bad girl vibe to it, which is why we like it on Jessica!
Are U feeling it???

We were so so happy to see Florence Welch representing Alexander McQueen at the Met Gala tonight.
The redheaded songstress worked her Heidi braids as twirled down the red carpet in a embroidered tulle creation by Sarah Burton.
We know this year's all about Prada, but where else can you wear this dress and get away with it?
Besides, we think Flo owned it!

Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton did the unthinkable — she lied right to Anna Wintour's face.
Vogue's editor-at-large Hamish Bowles says it all went down last year when everyone was speculating over who would be designing Kate Middleton's wedding gown:
"Anna looked Sarah in the eye – an experience that would jelly the marrow of bigger people – and asked, 'Are you designing Kate Middleton’s dress?' and Sarah said, 'I am not designing the dress.' So Anna was telling everyone, 'Sarah told me she’s not doing the dress, so she’s not doing the dress.' Now Anna admits Sarah did an amazing job."
What a brave soul!
Hamish also revealed the white dresses from the McQueen A/W 2011 collection was a cover up for the super covert design operation going on inside Buckingham Palace.
