Bradley Cooper Opens Up About His Big Gay Scene In Wet Hot American Summer!

Filed under: Gay Gay GayFilm FlickersSilly!Amy Poehler

Oh man! We had FORGOTTEN about this!

Way back in the day, when Bradley Cooper was starting out as an actor, one of his first big roles came as an arrogant camp counselor alongside Amy Poehler in the HIGHlarious Wet Hot American Summer, in which he had quite the sex scene with his MALE co-star Michael Ian Black!

The actor must have as many fond memories filming the sequence as we had WATCHING it, because he recently opened up about some of the on-the-fly, ahem, 'creative' choices,' he made right before the big moment!

He explains:

“I remember saying, 'What if we wear tube socks, and I'll go up on the wall, and you'll come from behind me.' And I said in the scene, 'Say my name,' and Michael says, 'Ben!' And I say, 'No! Say my Christian name,' and he whispers, 'Benjamin,' and that's when I came.”

ZOMG! LOLz!

Just for nostalgia's sake - and not because it's actually kind of HAWT - check out the scene (above)!

Pretty ballsy of him, especially at that stage in the career! We're impressed…in more ways than one!

We think you should do more roles like this, boy! You know, to challenge yourself as an actor!

Ha!

P.S. Keep an eye out for a young Elizabeth Banks in the water at the beginning of the clip! EVERYONE was in this movie!

South Park Creators' Musical Is Coming…This Thursday!

south park creators mormon musical previews begin this thursday

Broadway is about to get controversial AND HIGHlarious!

Back in September, we were excited to hear that South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone's religious satire The Book of Mormon was scheduled to premiere on Broadway on March 24.

Now, we're SO excited to announce that previews for the musical about "a pair of teenage Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda, where they confront war, famine and AIDS" will start THIS THURSDAY!

Oddly enough, Matt stone says the musical is pro-faith:

"…I mean, (Mormon) is a pro-faith musical. People may say, 'What?!' But that's what it's meant to be."

More from Stone:

"We can have a lot of fun at the Mormons' expense, because there's stuff in their religion that may seem silly to outsiders. But these are really nice people who believe what they do wholeheartedly. And that leads us to ask, well, what do you believe in, and what's goofy about that?"

Here's a statement that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints issued with regards to the play:

"The production may attempt to entertain audiences for an evening [but that Mormon scripture] will change people's lives forever."

And here's what Stone had to say in response:

"Those guys just kill us with kindness every time. Their response to our South Park episode (on Smith) was basically the same: 'Look, you're free to do what you want.' It's so big-hearted and fundamentally American."

Ha! Now we're REALLY intrigued by this musical…especially after Matt Stone said it's a "pro-faith musical." Inneresting way to describe a Mormon-themed play by the South Park guys…

Are U excited for this play? Do U think it will, in fact, be "pro-faith?"

The JetBlue Diva Is Back!

We assumed it would only be a matter of time before he started "acting!"

During a Friday night performance of NEWSical, a musical review which lampoons current events, a skit parodying the JetBlue diva Steven Slater's on-flight meltdown got a taste of reality when the ACTUAL Slater made a surprise cameo and showed Michael West, his impersonator, how it's done!

Check out the clip of the performance (above)!

Pretty HIGHlarious, not gonna lie! We just hope that this doesn't turn into the next 'Bed Intruder!'

How Antoine Dodson is still riding the coattails of that is just beyond us!

LOLz! Thoughts??

Jon Stewart Will Not Be Running For Public Office!

Too bad!

Jon Stewart recently revealed that despite many of his fans and supporters wishing otherwise, he has no desire to run for public office!

He explains:

"I deny that I am powerful. Power implies an agenda that's being acted on. Every generation has had its people who stand at the back and make fun of those in charge. When the Nazis came to power in the '30s, it created an incredible underground scene of satirical comedy. Peter Cook [a British comedian] once said with a straight face, 'Yes, they really showed Hitler.' That's how I see it. I'm not saying I'm powerless and in a vacuum. But if I really wanted to change things, I'd run for office. I haven't considered that, and I wouldn't — because this is what I do well. The more I move away from comedy, the less competent I become. I would lose my mind almost immediately. My job is I make jokes. I don't solve problems. If my job became solving problems, I would suddenly become a lot less good at what I do, unless the problem being had by the country was a lack of jokes."

We don't think he gives himself enough credit, but we can certainly understand why he would want to steer clear of that career change!

Oh well! As long as he keeps up the HIGHlarious commentary on our country's leaders doing dumbass shiz, we'll be satisfied!

Thoughts??
