Have you ever seen a video where you laughed AND learned about a good cause?
Well, today is your lucky day!
Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to see a HIGHlarious take that the folks at The Daily Show With Jon Stewart put together alongside Julie Bowen "to bring a new community-wide math program to elementary school children struggling to learn basic math in Africa and Asia."
The blue and white bracelet (the colors of Somalia's flag) can be purchased at nOir Jewelry starting today or Endless and Curve boutiques on September 12th.
All of the proceeds from the sale of the bracelet will be donated to Save The Children, an organization that is distributing life-saving water and treating malnourished children affected by the drought and famine in East Africa.
The Banana Pancakes singer has donated $10,000 to three organizations benefiting African famine: UNICEF, Save the Children, The World Food Program.
The following is a statement Jack Johnson posted on his website:
In the midst of the current drought and famine in East Africa, Jack Johnson announces his support of (sic) hunger relief efforts in the region. Jack is donating a total of $30,000 to three organizations working hard to provide food, water, medicine and on-the-ground support for millions of people in the drought stricken areas. All donations will make a difference and every day counts until the rains return in around 100 days.
This is amazing. We wish every celebrity did this.
