Tom Hanks is doing the House of Mouse proud!!

Mr. Hanks may let the occasional swear slip out on live TV, but at least he doesn't let his adult language effect his portrayal of Walt Disney, the master of childhood fantasy!

In fact, it seems Tom embodies the fun, Goofy (ha!) Mr. Disney PERFECTLY in the latest on-set snap from the Disney bio-flick, Saving Mr. Banks (above)!

Looking snazzy in those 1920's duds, Tom! Now you just need some black, round ears to complete the outfit…

DONE!

Uncanny!!

The cast of Tom Hank's newest flick, Saving Mr. Banks, is currently filming at Disneyland.

Which means… the guests in the theme park are the very first to see Tommy dressed in costume as his character, Walt Disney!

One sneaky little Mouseketeer snapped a pick as of Tom/Walt (above) walking down Main Street. He looks exactly like the Man behind the Mouse, doesn't he??

While we're thrilled to see Tom look all magical, we're sure many of Tuesday and Wednesday's park-goers are less than thrilled with the Mr. Hanks intrusion. Numerous rides and attractions, including Main Street, Main Street Vehicles, Carnation Cafe, Plaza Inn, Sleeping Beauty Castle, Fantasyland, and Astro Orbitor, were closed down for the day. BUT, on the plus side, they got to see many parts of the park done-up all 1960s style!

Tom Hanks may have starred in Big, but can he fill the massive, gynourmous shoes mouse ears of the venerable craftsman of childhood fantasies, Walt Disney?! Well, he better!

The Cloud Atlas actor will portray Mr. Disney in the currently under-production Mary Poppins-centric film, Saving Private Ryan Mr. Banks, which chronicles the 14 year struggle between Mr. Disney and Mary Poppins author P.L. Travers over making her classic tale into a movie.

So, how did Tom prepare for such an iconic role?! Well obviously research, but dude also took two trips to the Disney Family Museum in San Francisco!

Universal Pictures, E.L., and producer Mike De Luca picked her for a reason, though, and they aren't worried. Mike praised her in a recent statement:

“Kelly’s work demonstrates her flawless structural technique and passionate commitment to emotion, humor and depth of character.”

Mary Poppins is hot these days!

We're anxiously awaiting to see if the Opening Ceremony of the London Olympics really will feature the magical nanny trampling Lord Voldemort, but we've also been following the progress of a film which chronicles how Walt Disney obtained the rights from author P.L. Travers to produce the 1964 classic.

Meet the new Mr. Banks!

Colin Farrell has just signed on to play the real guy that inspired the fictional fun-hating father in the classic story of Mary Poppins.

The new Disney flick, Saving Mr. Banks, is about Walt Disney's 14-year battle to convince Australian author P.L. Travers to give him the rights to her book.

Tom Hanks has agreed to play Walt (CAN NOT wait to see that!), Emma Thompson was cast as Travers, and Farrell will be playing her father. (Probs in flashbacks.)

So far, they have an incredible cast!

It appears Disney and Mr. Hanks are trying to win themselves an other Oscar!
