Ignore The Scale — Only Weigh Yourself Once A Week!

white 1

Don’t obsess with the scale. Check it once every Monday morning when you wake up before breakfast. Weight can fluctuate by the hour due to water, carb and sodium intake. Also, you may gain a little muscle while losing fat, which the scale would certainly not account for immediately.

Nicole Sherzinger Reveals How She Maintains Her Body's X Factor

Nicole Sherzinger Shape

Nicole Sherzinger has one of the most envied bodies in Hollywood and in the December issue of Shape, she reveals how she maintains that X Factor.

To keep her body in balance, she follows three simple rules that we think EVERYONE should consider adopting.

"My new motto," the reality competition judge says, "is stay active, eat everything in moderation, and stop being so tough on myself."

She reveals that when it comes to eating food, she doesn't hold back. More importantly, she avoids an amateur mistake and doesn't skip meals, explaining:

"I eat – a lot!. Even with my crazy schedule, I never skip meals. I'll often have soft-boiled eggs, smoked salmon, and whole-wheat toast for breakfast; cold cuts, veggies, and fruit for lunch; and usually chicken or fish with rice and more vegetables for dinner."

She admits, however, that she does have one weakness — Hawaiin food! The former Pussycat Doll can't help but indulge in her hometown food, sharing:

"To really satisfy my cravings, I turn to my roots. I was born in Hawaii, so I love dried tuna dipped in soy sauce, kalua pig, banana pancakes with coconut syrup, and chocolate-covered macadamia nuts. My gosh, I could gain 10 pounds just talking about these foods!"

Nicole reveals that she has been focused on keeping her body in perfect shape since she was just a teenager, but has been happier since deciding to ditch the scale as a means of measuring her progress, saying:

"It's taken a long time to get here. I started jogging and counting calories when I was just 14. I've been on every diet you can imagine. By the time I was in the Pussycat Dolls, I was on the scale all the time. It became my enemy because I noticed that when I exercised really hard, I'd gain weight. Now that I'm in my 30s, I’ve stepped off the scale – I just go by how my clothes fit."

Like so many other celebs, the solo artist finds the best workout for her body is simply dancing, telling the magazine:

"When I'm getting ready for a tour or a video shoot, I throw myself full throttle into my work, and those extra 10 pounds just seem to melt off. I also have a resistance workout that does wonders for my arms and abs."

We're glad she ditched the scale and is instead focusing on being happy and healthy because it definitely shows!
